Floral Friday: Timeless Tulips Card Duo

For today’s Floral Friday post I’m highlighting the Timeless Tulips stamp set. Tulips are one of my favourite flowers but I actually don’t like red ones. So today’s cards are featuring red tulips in Poppy Parade.

I’ve paired my red tulips with the Stitched Nested Dies and the Forever Greenery Designer Paper.

Timeless Tulips 1

This first card is just simple stamping on the largest Stitched Nested Label with just the centre tulip popped up on some dimensionals. I’ve left sentimetns off this card so it can be used for any occassion.

Timeless Tulips 2

For the second card I added in the one of the new Greenery Mini Embossing Folders to add some texture to the background.

I like these cards but I’m still not a fan of red tulips.

Floral Framed For You Card

I love stamp sets that have little flowers and leaves so you can create quick and simple backgrounds just by randomly stamping. Thats one reason the Framed For You stamp set has been one of my first cgoices from the new catalogue, alongside the floral images there are some great sentiments and that great frame image which works perfectly with our Layering Squares Dies.

For this card I used a bold colour combination of Gorgeous Grape, Just Jade, Pool Party and Cinnamon Cider and I love how these colours look together.

Framed With Love -flat

I love how this turned out and think its a great design you could mass produce easily to build your card stash, its also one where you could change up the colours easily.

Todays Tiles Card Trio

I love how the stamps in the Todays Tiles set create intricate looking patterns which look like they’ve taken ages to stamp but in reality took just seconds. The trick with this stamp set is to use the Stamp-a-ratus to line up the stamps and then you will get perfect alighment everytime.

Todays Tiles Moonlight Card 1

I cut my Whisper White cardstock to fit the Stamp-a-ratus and then stamped a row of the base tiles in Seaside Spray. You can fit three blocks of stamped tiles on the Stamp-a-ratus if you start right near the right hand-side and then move two spaces across or down depending on which way you’ve lined up the stamp. I needed four blocks for these cards so did a second set of stamping on more cardstock.

Todays Tiles Moonlight card 2

After stamping the Seaside Spray layer I kept the stamp on the Stamp-a-ratus for my second batch of stamping but turned it over to add the detail stamp. Take time here to make sure you’ve lined up your stamp correctly and ensure the magnets have a firm hold on your paper as the slightnest nudge can throw the design off. I’ve stamped my detailed layer in Blackberry Bliss so it really stands out.

Todays Tiles Moonlight Card 3

I’ve used Misty Moonlight as a complimentary colour for these cards and used Blackberry Bliss for stamping the sentiments. Two of the sentiments were stamped onto dies from the Field Tiles die set which can be bought in a bundle with the Today’s Tiles stamp set.

I love how simple these cards were to create and look forward to playing with more colour combinations and designs soon.

Pedal to the Metal Birthday Cards

Male cards are something I have always struggled with, especially teenage males which makes the the Pedal to the Metal stamp set the perfect choice. This stamp set has some great images for males of any age.

Motercycle Card

For these cards I  used Blueberry Bushell and Call Me Clover before they go in the retired products cupboard. I’ve matched Blueberry Bushell with the Motorbike and Call Me Clover with the Gator as its the perfect “John Deere” Green.

Gator Birthday Card

The Happy Birthday greeting comes from the Bonanza Buddies stamp set which is also retiring and the stars are from the Family Party stamp set. I love the background I created with the tyre tracks and stars, perfect for teenagers.

Floral Friday – Paper Scrap Cards

Today I’m sharing four cards which have all been made from one sheet of 6 x 6 designer paper. I used the retiring Best Dressed paper as I love the floral patterns and I chose four colours from this paper as my card bases.

Floral Scraps - Petal Pink

These were Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Petal Pink.

Floral Scraps Card - Daffodil Delight

I used the Dandelion Wishes stamp set for the sentiments, stamped on a circle from the Layering Circles Dies.

Floral Scraps Card - Blackberry Bliss

I just cut the 6 x 6 paper into various strips and arranged them with the sentiments on top.

Floral Scraps - Daffodil Delight

I think the Blackberry Bliss version is my favourite, which is yours ?
