Todays Tiles Card Trio

I love how the stamps in the Todays Tiles set create intricate looking patterns which look like they’ve taken ages to stamp but in reality took just seconds. The trick with this stamp set is to use the Stamp-a-ratus to line up the stamps and then you will get perfect alighment everytime.

Todays Tiles Moonlight Card 1

I cut my Whisper White cardstock to fit the Stamp-a-ratus and then stamped a row of the base tiles in Seaside Spray. You can fit three blocks of stamped tiles on the Stamp-a-ratus if you start right near the right hand-side and then move two spaces across or down depending on which way you’ve lined up the stamp. I needed four blocks for these cards so did a second set of stamping on more cardstock.

Todays Tiles Moonlight card 2

After stamping the Seaside Spray layer I kept the stamp on the Stamp-a-ratus for my second batch of stamping but turned it over to add the detail stamp. Take time here to make sure you’ve lined up your stamp correctly and ensure the magnets have a firm hold on your paper as the slightnest nudge can throw the design off. I’ve stamped my detailed layer in Blackberry Bliss so it really stands out.

Todays Tiles Moonlight Card 3

I’ve used Misty Moonlight as a complimentary colour for these cards and used Blackberry Bliss for stamping the sentiments. Two of the sentiments were stamped onto dies from the Field Tiles die set which can be bought in a bundle with the Today’s Tiles stamp set.

I love how simple these cards were to create and look forward to playing with more colour combinations and designs soon.

Just Saying Hello to the new In-Colours!!

So yesterday my pre-order arrives with goodies from the new catalogue and the first thing I had to pull out and play with were the new In-Colours for 2020-22, this is one of my favourite things about Stampin’ Up! the five new colours every month….confession time I still have cardstock in every UK colour they’ve released.

If I had to sum up this years colours in one word I’d say FUN. They bright and cheerful and looking at them just makes me happy. So lets have a closer look.

Bumble Bee Card

First up is Bumble Bee which many of you will recognise from the Ornate Garden Suite. A bright sunny yellow which I think will fit in well with Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight and So Safffron,

Cinnamon Cider Card

Next up is Cinnamon Cider, a lovely rich chocolate brown. I can’t wait to get my hands on the Stampin’ Blends in this colour as its the prefect animal/tree brown.

Just Jade Card

This is Just Jade which is a lighter, slightly more muted version of Emerald Envy from a couple of years ago. I can see this working well with Mint Macaron and Shaded Spruce.

Magenta Madness

This is Magenta Madness and its much brighter than in the photo, think along the lines of Lemon Lime Twist, we’ve not really had a pink like this before so I’m looking forward to playing around with colour combinations for this one.

Misty Moonlight Card

Last up is Misty Moonlight. I really like this one, its as close to a perfect true blue I think you could get and the perfect compliment to Night of Navy and Seaside Spray.

So there they are our new colours which one is your favourite and which colours do you think it’ll work well with?

This cards were made using the new patterns for the Designer Series Paper Assortment and a new stamp set called Tasteful Touches, which has lovely sentiments. These will be available to customers on June 3rd. If you can’t wait that long then you can join Stampin’ Up! and become part of my team and add them to you starter kit today.
