Todays Tiles Card Trio

I love how the stamps in the Todays Tiles set create intricate looking patterns which look like they’ve taken ages to stamp but in reality took just seconds. The trick with this stamp set is to use the Stamp-a-ratus to line up the stamps and then you will get perfect alighment everytime.

Todays Tiles Moonlight Card 1

I cut my Whisper White cardstock to fit the Stamp-a-ratus and then stamped a row of the base tiles in Seaside Spray. You can fit three blocks of stamped tiles on the Stamp-a-ratus if you start right near the right hand-side and then move two spaces across or down depending on which way you’ve lined up the stamp. I needed four blocks for these cards so did a second set of stamping on more cardstock.

Todays Tiles Moonlight card 2

After stamping the Seaside Spray layer I kept the stamp on the Stamp-a-ratus for my second batch of stamping but turned it over to add the detail stamp. Take time here to make sure you’ve lined up your stamp correctly and ensure the magnets have a firm hold on your paper as the slightnest nudge can throw the design off. I’ve stamped my detailed layer in Blackberry Bliss so it really stands out.

Todays Tiles Moonlight Card 3

I’ve used Misty Moonlight as a complimentary colour for these cards and used Blackberry Bliss for stamping the sentiments. Two of the sentiments were stamped onto dies from the Field Tiles die set which can be bought in a bundle with the Today’s Tiles stamp set.

I love how simple these cards were to create and look forward to playing with more colour combinations and designs soon.

Watercolour Birthday Cake Card Duo

Today I’m sharing another birthday card duo, this time featuring the Piece of Cake stamp set and matching Cake Builder Punch.  I’ve used Rococo Rose for one card and Seaside Spray for the other and kept them simple by using no embellishments.

Rococo Rose Watercolour Cake Card

I used the Fluid 100 watercolour paper for the background and used the Aqua Painter to create a wash of colour over the backgorund. I then used the finger flick technique to add the flecked ink across the card to add some more detail. I then stamped the Happy Birthday from the stamp set all over randomly in Rococo Rose.

Seaside Spray Watercolour Cake Card

For the centre of the card I stamped dotty/stripy birthday cake in Tuxedo Memento Ink and then coloured with Stampin’ Blends beforing punching out. I also punch out to cake stands in Silver Foil. I then cut a white oval matt and stamped the little lollipops at the top. I adhered the white oval onto a Silver Foil oval and then attached to my card bases.

As a finishing touch added the cakes to the centre of the ovals using Stampin’ Dimensionals to give some dimension and interest to the card.

Which is your favourite the pink or blue version?

Shimmery Silver Snowflake Card

This card is the result of a crafty session where I just wanted to make so backgrounds with my stamping stash. For the base I used Shimmery White Cardstock as this is my favourite to use when doing ink blending.  I chose Seaside Spray and Blushing Bride for my background as  I was going for a subtle look, possibly Balmy Blue would have been better for a subtle look. I like the almost stormy look which Seaside Spray has given to the card.

For some more shimmer to the background I used the snowflake stamp from Free Skate and stamped it all over my background in Silvery Shimmer Delicata Ink, now when you move the card in the light you get the shimmer from the snowflakes.

To finish my card I added a length of Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon across the middle of the card to add even more silver shimmer and then stamped the “Christmas Greetings” stamp from  Greatest Part of Christmas in Silvery Shimmer Delicata Ink onto some oval matts cut from the Layering Oval Dies.

As a final touch I added some silver foil snowflakes cut from the Christmas Layers dies for a last bit of silver. I love how this card turned out, it reminds me of the sparkle left on freshly fallen snow.

Three Little Elves Card

How adorable are these cute little Elves, can you just imagine all the mischief they might get up to when we’re not watching. I wanted to go for a non traditional colour scheme so chose Seasside Spray, Mint Macaron and Flirty Flamingo to add to the cute factor.

Stampin’ Blends, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and a little fussy cutting have really brought the little eleves to life.  I didn’t think the card needed much else so added a simple stamped snowflake background and a strip of the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon highlights the sparkle in the glitter.

I can’t wait to make more card with this gorgeous #Elfie stamp set in many more colur combinations, so keep an eye out for more Elfie cards coming soon.
