Under My Umbrella featuring the Pleased as Punch DSP

If you’re living in the UK like me then you are probably sick of all the rain we’ve being having, especially after the last few days. If you’ve been affected by the floods then my heart goes out to you, nothing could be worse than losing your home.

These two cards featuring the Under My Umbrella stamp set I hope will bring a little cheer to some of you. I think this is a great set mostly because I love all the sentiments, they’re perfect for sharing a little love which you can never have too much of. I also love that this set comes with a matching punch and now for a limited time some matching designer paper, meaning card making is quick and simple.

Uder My umbrella PaP DSp Card 1

This first card features the raindrop pattern from the new Pleased as Punch designer paer, this is my favourtie, how cute are those raindrops? Thats rain I can enjoy. I’ve paired this paper up with Gorgeous Grape, using some ink, a punched out umbrella top and some of the Mini Striped Ribbon. I’ve used three quarters of the second largest Stitched Nested Labels Dies to stamp my sentiment on and to act as a focal point.

Under My Umbrella Pap DSP card 2

For the second card I chose a colour scheme of Coastal Cabana and Petal Pink. This is a very similar design to the first card but instead of adding ribbon I’ve added some flowers stamped and coloured in Stampin’ Blends.

Two quick cards made with the Under My Umbrella bundle and Pleased as Punch DSP and there are many more combinations you could explore with these products.

Petal Pink Lasting Love Card

Today I’m sharing the love with this card made from the Last A Lifetime Bundle. This is a bundle themed around love and weddings and features some gorgeous dies. Today I’ve chosen to focus on the floral images in the stamp set and their matching dies.

For my card background I chose a sheet of petel pink designer paper which has Champagne foiling on from the Parisian Blossoms collection, I love this design for backgrounds.

I stamped my greeting onto the second largest die from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. To add some more of the champagne colour to my project I used the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and stamped the edges of my nested Label with the large floral die from the stamp set, this adds a nice subtle shimmer to the greeting panal and ties it togther with the background.

To finish the card I added two of the large stamped floral springs which have been stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and coloured with Petal Pink and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends. As a finishing touch I added coloured the berries on the floral springs with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint using a Blender Pen to apply the paint to my project.

This card would make a lovely wedding or anniversary card or just to let someone know you love them whatever time of year.

Cherry Blossom Lady Card

Today I’m sharing a project made using the Power of Hope bundle from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. This bundle is only available free with a purchase of £90 or more but I think its worth it as the images in the stamp set are lovely and I love the Stone 3D Embossing folder, this is one product I’m hoping carries over to the new catalogue as I have plenty of ideas for it.

The background is quite simple with just a layer of Petal Pink cardstock run througth the 3D Stone Embossing folder, but this adds so much detail I don’t think the card needed anything else.

Cherry Blossom Lady Card - flat

I stamped the chinese lady in Tuxedo Black ink onto a Very Vanilla cardstock circle from the Layering Circles dies. I then coloured her in with Petal Pink and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends and mounted her onto a Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Circle before adding to my card.

I added a length of the Gold Metallic Edged Ribbon to the card to bring out the Vanilla colour of the card base. A simple card but perfect for any occassion.

Quick Card with The Gangs All Meer

Just a quick project today to highlight the cute little Meerkat family from The Gangs All Meer stamp set, I love their cheeky little faces.

I’ve gone with a colur scheme of Mango Melody, Pear Pizzazz and Granny Apple Green for my card base. I’ve used a piece of Pear Pizzazz as my background and stamped the little catus plants all over in Granny Apple Green just to give them more pop.

I added a strip of the Textured Weave Ribbon in Granny Apple Green across the top third of my card before adhering my Meerkat circle.

I coloured the Meerkat with Stampin’ Blends in Light Crumb Cake for their tummies and Light Soft Suede for the rest of their bodies. They are stood on a mix of Light Pumkin Pie and Light Mango Melody so it hopefully looks like sand.

This cute little stamp set is available until the end of March as a Sale-A-Bration freebie, so just place an order of £45 or more and you too could be stamping with these cuties.

Watercolour Birthday Cake Card Duo

Today I’m sharing another birthday card duo, this time featuring the Piece of Cake stamp set and matching Cake Builder Punch.  I’ve used Rococo Rose for one card and Seaside Spray for the other and kept them simple by using no embellishments.

Rococo Rose Watercolour Cake Card

I used the Fluid 100 watercolour paper for the background and used the Aqua Painter to create a wash of colour over the backgorund. I then used the finger flick technique to add the flecked ink across the card to add some more detail. I then stamped the Happy Birthday from the stamp set all over randomly in Rococo Rose.

Seaside Spray Watercolour Cake Card

For the centre of the card I stamped dotty/stripy birthday cake in Tuxedo Memento Ink and then coloured with Stampin’ Blends beforing punching out. I also punch out to cake stands in Silver Foil. I then cut a white oval matt and stamped the little lollipops at the top. I adhered the white oval onto a Silver Foil oval and then attached to my card bases.

As a finishing touch added the cakes to the centre of the ovals using Stampin’ Dimensionals to give some dimension and interest to the card.

Which is your favourite the pink or blue version?
