Rustic Retreat Christmas Card

For today’s project I’m pulling out the Rustric Retreat set which can be found on page 49 of the annual catalogue as is perhaps one you’ve overlooked as its not the most festive set but does have a certain rustic charm.

I used some of the Old Olive paper from the Christmastime is Here Speciality DSP and ran it through the subtles embossing folder to add to the rusticness of the card.

I die cut the three smallest circles in the Stitched Shapes collection and stamped the most festive images on them from the set. I coloured the little log cabin and the stag with Stampin’ Blends.

To finish the card I added a strip of the Cherry Cobbler Diagonal Stripe Ribbon across the middle of the Old Olive layer and then added the stamped circles in the middle of the card.

Poinsettia Pillow Box

Today I’m sharing a simple idea to decorate our Kraft Pillow Boxes using a punch and some paper.

To make this Poinsettia flower simply punch six baubles from the larger punch from the Gleaming Ornaments Punch pack. I chose to use the Cherry Cobbler paper from the Christmastime Is Here Speciality DSP.  Scrunch each “petal” up to give that crinkly effect which Pionsettia’s have.

Adhere all the red petals to a 1/2″ punched circle, overlapping each one a little. punch out another 1/2″ circle is Whisper white and adhere to the front of the flower. Cover this circle with the largest Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to create the centre of the flower.

Punch and scrunch three green petals and add them to the back of the flower to create leaves.

Poinsettia Pillow Box 2

I added a length of Gold Shimmer Ribbon around the kraft pillow box and then adhered the Poinsettia to the top.

This makes the perfect little box for those small Christmas gifts or gift cards. I also love that these little boxes are small enough to hide amoung your Christmas tree branches if you want to make a few.

Tis the Season for Santa Christmas Card

With the countdown on and the big day only a month away it seemed fitting to share a project featuring Santa himself today.

This cute card combines products from the Night Before Christmas suite and a background created with the Winter Knit 3D Embossing folder.

Colouring with the stampin’ Blends has brought Santa to life and few of the Snowflake Sequins has added a little sparkle to this festive card.

A Holiday Hello From #Elfie

I’ve pulled out my Stampin’ Blends for today’s card and coloured the largest image from the #Elfie stamp set. This is one of those images which can fill a whole card front so you really don’t need much else.

I’ve used a little bit of the Wrapped In Plaid DSP as a background which I also used as a basis for my main colour scheme of Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce and Night of Navy.

I’m spending the afternoon curled up by my fire watching Christmas movies and colouring more elves. Hope you have chance to have some crafty time this weekend.
