Poinsettia Pillow Box

Today I’m sharing a simple idea to decorate our Kraft Pillow Boxes using a punch and some paper.

To make this Poinsettia flower simply punch six baubles from the larger punch from the Gleaming Ornaments Punch pack. I chose to use the Cherry Cobbler paper from the Christmastime Is Here Speciality DSP.  Scrunch each “petal” up to give that crinkly effect which Pionsettia’s have.

Adhere all the red petals to a 1/2″ punched circle, overlapping each one a little. punch out another 1/2″ circle is Whisper white and adhere to the front of the flower. Cover this circle with the largest Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to create the centre of the flower.

Punch and scrunch three green petals and add them to the back of the flower to create leaves.

I added a length of Gold Shimmer Ribbon around the kraft pillow box and then adhered the Poinsettia to the top.

This makes the perfect little box for those small Christmas gifts or gift cards. I also love that these little boxes are small enough to hide amoung your Christmas tree branches if you want to make a few.

Christmas Baubles Card

Today I’ve been playing with the Christmas Gleaming bundle making loads of baubles, which is super easy with the punch duo and the gorgoeus Brightly Gleaming Speciality DSP.  I love this paper and it seems everyone esle does to as Stampin’ Up! can’t seem to keep the warehouses stocked with it.

I’ve paired my gorgeous background paper with a matt layer in Pretty Peacock, I was tempted to use Copper Foil but thought that might ne a copper overload with the Celestial Copper ink and Brightly Gleaming Foil elements which also appear on the card.

Along with the baubles, one punched and one stamped, I’ve stamped the holly spring. I stamped this in Celestial Copper Delicata Ink and the coloured with Stampin’ Blends. The colours have gone a little muddy so I think next time I’ll use Versamark and Copper Embossing Powder if I want to colour an image.

A simple Merry Christmas stamped in Pretty Peacock and the card is done.

Everything Is Rosy Christmas Card Trio

Remember back in May when Stampin’ Up! released their first product medley Everything Is Rosy, well its now available in the clearance rack with a 15% discount. So I thought I’d pull out my collection and give Everthing Is Rosy a Christmas twist.

I’ve paired it with the Christmas Gleaming bundle as I think the rich jewel tones of Night of Navy, Melon Mambo and Rose Gold would work well as baubles.

Everythings Rosy Christmas Card 1

Before I put my card together I used the Rose Gold Shimmer Paint and a sponge dauber to “stamp” some baubles on Night of Navy and Whisper White cardstock. I then punched these out with the Gleaming Ornaments Punch pack along with some extra baubles from the paper from Everything is Rosy.

Everythings Rosy Christmas Trio Card 2

Along with the baubles I added some die cuts from the Stitched Nested dies and some of the flourishes from the Everything is Rosy dies.

Everythings Rosy Chrsitmas Card 3

Some of the Night of Navy Gold Edged Ribbon and pearls coloured with the Rose Gold shimmer paint add a few finishing off touches for these cards.

I love how these turned out and I have many more baubles ready to make more cards, so guess what I’ll be doing this afternoon.

I urge to to pick up the Everything Is Rosy Medley which you still can I love it so much and confession time yes I did order a second one just to get more of the gorgoeus papers, don’t tell my husband.
