Christmas Magic Card

This card is the perfect way to add some sparkle to your cards and use up any Christmas paper you might have left. Here I’ve used the bauble pattern from the Night Before Christmas DSP collection, any paper in this pack would work as they’re all festive patterns.

The addition of some Gold Glimmer Paper adds just the right amount of festive sparkle to mkae this card really pop.

The greeting come from the Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set and is the perfect sentiment to capture the magic and sparkle of Christmas.

Happy Birthday Dad Card

Yesterday it was my dad’s birthday so I thought I’d share the card I made him with you. He’s a farmer so very rarely has time to rest so is unlikely to have spent his birthday like this. This image from A Good Man does remind me of how he used to look on beach holidays from when I was younger so hopefully he’ll remember this and enjoy his card too.

I coloured the image in Stampin’ Blends which are definitley one of my favourite Stampin’ Up! products as they make colouring a joy. The top line of the greeting comes from the same A Good Man set and the Happy Birthday comes from Perennial Birthday stamp set.

I finished the card off with three strips of the Blueberry Bushell Ribbon which I think highlights the stripes in the Come Sail Away Designer Paper. I also added some Blueberry Bushell Rhinnestones from the Noble Peacock collection.

Farewell to the Christmastime Is Here Suite

Today is the last day that the products in the Christmastime Is Here Suite are available to purchase so I thought I’d share one last project with you. As most of us will already have our cards made for this year I wanted to share a quick idea using the gorgeous paper as most of the detail.

I’ve used the Holly pattern as a background for this card and simply stamped the Merry Christmas from the Christmas rose stamp set onto the largest label form the Roses dies.

A simple strip of the Poppy Parade Textured Stripe Ribbon across the middle of the card and a couple of springs of Holly stamped from the Christmas gleaming stamp set finish the card.

Simple Foiled Merry Christmas Card

If you’ve not yet finished making your Christmas cards or you need to whip up a few extra really quick then this is the card for you.

I used the From Our House to Yours stamp set to create this little scene. The stamps are photopolymer so they line up really easily making stamping a scene quick and enjoyable. If your making a lot the using the Stampatratus is a good idea.

I stamped my scene on the 6cm square dies from the Layering Squares Dies and matted it onto the scalloped version which is slightly bigger.

Foiled Our House Merry Christmas -flat

To make this card really pop I’ve used some of the Noble Peacock Foil and run it through the Hammered Embossing folder which is part of the Brightly Gleaming Suite. I love this embossing folder as it creates a subtle but really effective background. I’ve also added a little bit of Cherry Cobbler Diagonal Striped Ribbon across the top of the card behind my little scene.

To change up this card you can easily change the foil colour and embossing folder to create many different background effects.

Happy Thanksgiving Card

Today I’d like to wish all my American readers a Happy Thanksgiving and hope your all have a lovely day celebrating with your families.

It seemed apt to pull out the Come to Gather suite for today’s project as its all about gathering together and celebrating the season.

I used some of the Come to Gather DSP to create some background layers on the card base of Soft Sea Foam.

The main focal point of the card comes from the large maple leaves. These were stamped in Pretty Peacock onto Soft Seafoam cardstock, I then used an Aqua Painter to spread the ink and create a watercoloured wash effect.

I stamped the greeting onto the smaller label from the Roses dies and then added a Pretty Peacock lattice also cut from the Roses dies. A little of the 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim and some Pretty Peacock Rhinestones from the Noble Peacock and the card is finished.
