Proud of You Peacock Card

I have to confess I’m not a fan of this stamp set. I bought it in the suite bundlke last pre-order as I love all the accessories and embellishments which go with it, I mean how can you not love those foil sheets they are lush!

So sadly Royal Peacock has not seen much ink, even on this card I only used one stamp.

For the background I embossed some of the gorgeous Pretty Peacock Foil Sheet with the Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder, which looks stunning. I then used the largest die in the Stitched Nested Labels dies to have somewhere to add my sentiment and highlight the delicate detail in the peacock die cut.

I stamped my greeting in Bermuda Bay which I think looks great with this foil but use Pretty Peacock if you prefer. I then finished the card off with some Pretty Peacock Rhinestones from the Noble Peacock collection.

This card is not my favourite but its made me think I need to go and order some more foil sheets while I still can.

Happy Thanksgiving Card

Today I’d like to wish all my American readers a Happy Thanksgiving and hope your all have a lovely day celebrating with your families.

It seemed apt to pull out the Come to Gather suite for today’s project as its all about gathering together and celebrating the season.

I used some of the Come to Gather DSP to create some background layers on the card base of Soft Sea Foam.

The main focal point of the card comes from the large maple leaves. These were stamped in Pretty Peacock onto Soft Seafoam cardstock, I then used an Aqua Painter to spread the ink and create a watercoloured wash effect.

I stamped the greeting onto the smaller label from the Roses dies and then added a Pretty Peacock lattice also cut from the Roses dies. A little of the 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim and some Pretty Peacock Rhinestones from the Noble Peacock and the card is finished.

Pretty Peacock Gather Together Card

Today’s monochromatic Pretty Peacock card would make the perfect notecard for suggesting a meet-up with friends or just to let them know you care.  I love how all the different embellishments work together to create interest to what is a very simple card.

I wanted to use the wooden leaves on numerous projects but couldn’t quite make them work here I think thye do. The first leaf was adhered to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the second was adhered using Mini Glue Glue Dots so it could add some dimension to the card.

A few Pretty Peacock Rhinestone from the Nobel Peacock collection and the card is finished.  A card suitable for all year round and not just harvest time.

Pretty Peacock Leaf Bouquet Card

I love the Come to Gather Suite of products as soon as I saw them its definitely my favourite Autumn themed suite for many years, mainly because the papers include Pretty Peacock. I think this is a bold choice for an autumnal themed collection but it really works with the Cajun Crze, Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron.

I knew as soon as I got these product home I’d create a card which featured Pretty Peacock Foil die cut leaves and these turned out even more gorgeous than I expected. To create some more interest I cut some more leaves in Pretty Peacock cardstock. A little tip I’ve picked up from other demonstrators if you spray the card before you die cut the leaves you will get a two-tone effect, no idea why this work but Ilove them.

For some additional texture to my leafy arrangement I added some of the foiliage from the Frosted Frames dies in Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake. These are all secrured using glue dots as I didn’t want to move my leaves after I’d got the arrangement how I like.

The “Wishing You Well” greeting makes this card suitable for many occasions or to simply just send to someone to say “Hi” which is exactly what I’m going to do as this week is World Card Sending week. Why don’t you join in and send some random cards yourself.
