Today I’m going all artic and using a colour scheme of Soft Sky, Crumb Cake, Early Expresso and Whisper White. I’ve wanted to use the reindeer in the Merry Patterns stamp set with this colour combination but couldn’t settle on a design I liked, finally I’ve made one I like. Poinsettia Style Card with Painted Harvest
For today’s project I have another card using the Painted Harvest stamp set, I was inspired by looking at Poinsettia’s and was originally going to make a Christmas card, however when I added the Pear Pizzazz card base I felt it would be better as a birthday card. Thankful Acorn Card
For today’s’ card I fancied doing a little water colouring, so I pulled out the Count My Blessings stamp set and work with the acorn stamp. I used my aqua painter and inkpads to get the colours I wanted. The leaves are done in Old Olive and the acorns a mix of Chocolate Chip and Cajun Craze.

I wanted the coloured acorn to be the focus of the card so used the second largest Stitched Shape Framelit to cut it out. To add some texture behind I took a Delicate White Doily and inked it with a mixture of Early Expresso and Chocolate Chip. Once dry I scrunched it up to create even more texture. I folded the doily a little to create folds within the circle to add some ruffles, I then attached this to the back of my acorn circle.

For the greeting I stamped “gather together & give thanks” in Early Expresso on some Very Vanilla cardstock, I then cut this out using one of the banners in the Bunch of Banners Framelit set. To add some more texture I attached some pulled apart Copper Trim.
To finish the front of the card I cut a layer of the Painted Autumn DSP measuring 10cm x 14xm and sponged a little Early Expresso around the edges. I then attached this onto an Early Expresso card base using Fast Fuse. I mounted my acorn circle in the bottom right corner and then stuck the banner diagonally across the bottom.

I added an extra stamped acorn to the inside of the card but left this one as just an outline.

Leafy Green Thinking of You Card
Today I’m sharing a card made with the Count My Blessings stamp set, one I bought for the font and beautiful sentiment. I love a good cursive font and this one is gorgeous. I’ve gone for a very simple design which can easily be altered to fit any occasion or stamp set.

I pulled out the Painted Autumn DSP to work with this stamp set, one because it woks well with it and two it is very autumnal here with lots mist and quite eerie light outside. I choose the green paper as I wanted to add the bow with my new Garden Green Stitched Satin Ribbon, which has to be my favourite style of Stampin’ Up! ribbon ever made, I’m still in mourning over the loss of the Blackberry Bliss version.

I’ve even decorated the inside of this one with a layer of Very Vanilla and some extra Garden Green leaves. Hope you can join me again tomorrow for another autumn inspired card.

Be Merry Mistletoe Duo
Today I’ve got two cards for the price of one with the duo made from the Merry Mistletoe stamp set and the Be Merry DSP. These products can both be found in the annual catalogue on page 113. Initially I overlooked Merry mistletoe but when it was in the sale last week I ordered myself a set and its growing on me. I love the Be Merry DSP mainly because I’m a real sucker for Cherry Cobbler, for me its the perfect Christmas red, but I also love how half of these papers contain generic patterns which can be used all year round. My favourite sheet though is still the cute little reindeer paper which I’ve used both sides of in todays projects.

What more do you need than some gold embossing powder and gold foil to make a beautiful card. I love the simplicity of this card and think it perfectly highlights the lovely reindeer stamp.

The other side of the reindeer paper is this garden green hounds tooth pattern, which is a little full on when you look at a whole sheet but works well with small amounts here. I’ve added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the mistletoe berries to add a little sparkle, just wish my photography skills were better so you could see how lovely it looks.

Here are both cards together, which is your favourite. Despite loving the reindeer paper I think the mistletoe one is my favourite, I just love the glitter.
