Fine Art Floral Gift Box & Card Duo

It’s not often I make 3D items but last week when it was my mum’s birthday I needed something to wrap her present in. Luckily for me it was a nice easy square so I could easily make a box. I choose this paper from the Fine Art Floral collection one because I knew my mum would love it as she like bright bold flowers and second its not a paper I’ve found easy to work into a card yet.

To make the box cut a piece of dsp to 25.5cm x 24cm. On the longside score at 6cm, 12cm, 18cm, and 24cm. Turn the paper 90 degrees then score at 3cm and 21cm.

You will end up with your paper in sections as shown below, the blue lines are the scored lines.

You will need to cut your paper on every red line as shown above so you have slits in the bottom and top section. Place Tear & Tape along the smallest section and fold into a box. I used Tear & Tape to secure the bottom of the box too but used Mini Glue Dots on the top as they are easier to pull apart to open. To finish simply tie with Calypso Coral Ribbon from the Ornate Garden Combo Pack.

For the card I used the matching Art Gallery stamp set. The leaves were stamped in Old Olive and the flower was stamped in Calypso Coral and Terracotta Tile with the greeting stamped in Merry Merlot.

My mum loved her coordinated gift and card so I may attempt more duos in the future.

5 Year Stampin’ Up! Anniversary Card

Today its 5 years since I signed up with Stampin’ Up! So it’s the perfect opportunity to share a bright fun birthday card using one of my favourite Stampin’ Up! products, Stampin’ Blends!!

I don’t think there’s a day gone by where I haven’t coloured something with these pens, I love them so much.

Today’s card is made from the Prettiest of Birthdays stamp set, most of the samples I’ve seen using this set have been very pastel based and feminine, so today I’ve gone bright.

The colours I’ve used are Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight and although its still a more feminine colour scheme you could eaily swap out Magenta Madness for Poppy Parade or Real Red and it would work just as well.

To celebrate my 5 years with Stampin’ Up! I’m offering anyone who places a £50 or more order with me between now and April 4th 2021 using the hostess code WYTXZMXY a special gift. Special gifts are from me only and not endorsed by Stampin’ Up!

Just For You Card

Here’s a simple card using three more products which are retiring the Layering Squares Dies, Be Mine Dies and the Meant to Be stamp set.

I’ve used the largest Scalloped Square die and coordinating plain square to create the focal point of my card. On the Blushing Bride cardstock stamp I’ve stamped the tiny hearts in Blushing bride to create a tone on tone background.

The heart was stamped in Real Red ink and cardstock and then die cut with the second largest scalloped heart.

I stamped the greeting in Versamark and then used White Embossing Powder to heat emboss with, not very well as I’ve left lots of little flecks all over.

The white embossing powder on its own has now sold out but its being reconfigured in the new catalogue to come in a bundle with the clear and black embossing powder.

Free As A Bird Oval Card

Sadly the Layering Ovals dies have now sold out here in Europe but I couldn’t let them go into my craft closet with out one final outing. I’ve paired the with the Free As A Bird stamp set which is carrying over to the next catalogue. I really like the delicate images in this set, these cute little birds were just crying out to be coloured with Stampin’ Blends.

I’ve coloured the little birds with a mix of Petal Pink and So Saffron to give a blended peachy tone, which matches the Champagne Rhinestones which I’ve used to embellish the card. The branch is Soft Suede and the leaves Just Jade.

I’ve used Blackberry Bliss as an accent colour in the flowers in the stamped inmage and also for the stamped flowers on the designer paper background.

As a final touch I added a length of the Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon from the Mini Catalogue

I love the soft feminine feel of this card and hope its not another year before Free As A Bird sees some ink.

Rainbow Blossoms Card

This card takes just a couple of minutes to make but I think it still produces quite an impact with all that glitter. All the flowers come from the Rainbow Glimmer Paper punched out with the Small Bloom Punch. I’ve just selected areas where I can get a full colour for eacg flower.

The greeting is from Happiest of birthdays, which I’ve just stamped in the centre in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I then arrange my glimmer blossoms all around the greeting.

I’ve used an Opalescent Round in the centre of each flower to add even more bling to the card.

This is the perfect card to create when you have one of those unexpected birthday party invites dropped on you unexpectedly, its quick simple and looks great.

So sad the Small Bloom Punch is leaving.
