Butterfly Wishes Pastel Birthday Card

Today I’m sharing a quick and simple card made with the Butterfly Wishes stamp set, which is sadly on the retirement list. This is a recent purchase for me but I’m loving the soft butterfly images and think they work great with pastel shades.

I’ve used Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron and Soft Suede for this card which is one of my favourite colour combinations. I’ve coloured the branch image with Stampin’ Markers so I can have all three colours on one stamp, this also adds to the soft pastel look I was going for.

I’ve added a little Mint Macaron piece of designer paper to the background just ground my image.

Simple Stamping with In Bloom

This is the first time I’ve pulled out the In Bloom stamp set, its a really great set for creating your own designer paper which is what I’ve done here.

I’ve used a colour combination of Merry Merlot, Shaded Spruce and Gorgeous Grape and used the Rectangle Stitched dies for the layers on the card.

I’ve finished the card off with a little Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding.

Pastel Dragonfly Duo Card

I’ve struggled to use the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP as its bright and has a lot of busy feeling patterns. I’ve pulled it out today and I’m quite happy with the soft pastel effect I’ve managed to create.

I’ve used the palest pattern in the pack as a background and paired it with a colour scheme of Soft Sea Foam and Flirty Flamingo, with just a touch of Calypso Coral paper just to help the dragonflies pop.

The dragonflies are stamped in Flirty Flamingo, I’ve used the blender pen to add some colour to the bodies and then added some shimmer to the wings with Wink of Stella and some pearls to act as a trail behind the dragonflies.

Simply Circle Birthday Card

For todays card I’ve mixed up Circle Celebration, Swirly Frames and Pretty Perennials to make this simple birthday card.

I’ve used a mix of Blackberry Bliss, Coastal Cabana and Gray Granite which I think is a great colour combination.

I’ve fussy cut the “Happy” to give the card a little dimension but the rest is simple one-layered stamping.

Daffodil Tulips Card

Daffodil coloured Tulips, well why not! I don’t use yellow that much as I’m more of a pink/purple girl so today I used Daffodil Delight as my starting point and paired it with Granny Apple Green.

I’m loving seeing the daffodils in my garden but as we dont currently have any daffodil images I’m using Timeless Tulips.

I’ve simply stamped the tulip heads in Daffodil Delight, filling in the gaps with second generation stamping and then added some leaves and stems in Granny Apple Green. I’ve then added some punched out Tulips to add a little dimension.

I’ve added a length of Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon across the card to add my greeting label, I’m sad this ribbon is leaving us as its been one of my favourites ffrom this catalogue.

A simple card but think its sure to brighten someones day.
