#Simple Stamping – Male Themed Cards With Over the Moon

For today’s cards I’m going back to basics and just using paper, ink and stamps, okay and a few Stampin’ Blends to create these cute male themed birthday cards with the Over the Moon stamp set and the Country Club Designer Paper.

As these stamps are of cows I’ve often gone down a more female route for cards but today they are getting a male treatment as I need some birthday cards for my farmer friends.

I’ve used the Country Club Designer Paper with the colours Garden Green and Night of Navy to create these simple matted and layered cards.

The cows are coloured with the light versions of Stampin’ Blends in Petal Pink, Crumb Cake and Basic Black with a hint of Ivory for the noses.  The Happy Birthday sentiment comes from Itty Bitty Birthday, which has the perfect font for male cards.

Over the Moon Birthday Card

Today I’m sharing another childrens birthday card, this time made with the Over the Moon stamp set. The background was a watercolour wash of Mint Macaron on the old watwercolour paper, having now used our new Fluid 100 watercolour paper I much prefer this as its blends so much smoother.

I stamped the cow in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Stampin’ Blends before fussy cutting her out. Here’s a little close up of her:

I attached some linen thread around the base of the punched out balloon with Tear N Tape around the back. I then attached the thread to the cow using some more tape rolled into a ball, you could also use a glue dot here but I’m out of them at the moment.

To finish the card stamp Happy Birthday from Perennial Birthday across the bottom of the card in Rich Razzleberry.

Finished result a cute birthday card which I’m sure anyone would love.

Over the Moon – Cow’s It Going? Card

Growing up on a farm has meant I have a soft spot for cows so when I saw the new Over the Moon stamp set featuring these adorable little cows I knew they’s be one of the first sets I’d buy. I love how cute the images are and the sentimets just make me smile, especially the one I’ve used here, its perfect for when you just want to write a note to a friend.

I used Granny Apple Green as my main colour for this card and added a touch of Poppy Parade on the cows flower as I wanted a bright, happy spring like card, a total contrast to the wet miserable weather we’ve being having here in the UK recently.

For the background I used the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder, which you can see better in the first photograph. My cute little cow was coloured with Stampin’ Blends and then mounted on a scalloped oval in Granny Apple Green cut from the Layering Ovals dies.

I added a strip of the GrannyApple Green textured weave ribbon to add more colour but also because I’ve had it a while and never used it!

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s fun little card using Over the Moon, amust if you like cute critters.
