Free As A Bird Oval Card

Sadly the Layering Ovals dies have now sold out here in Europe but I couldn’t let them go into my craft closet with out one final outing. I’ve paired the with the Free As A Bird stamp set which is carrying over to the next catalogue. I really like the delicate images in this set, these cute little birds were just crying out to be coloured with Stampin’ Blends.

I’ve coloured the little birds with a mix of Petal Pink and So Saffron to give a blended peachy tone, which matches the Champagne Rhinestones which I’ve used to embellish the card. The branch is Soft Suede and the leaves Just Jade.

I’ve used Blackberry Bliss as an accent colour in the flowers in the stamped inmage and also for the stamped flowers on the designer paper background.

As a final touch I added a length of the Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon from the Mini Catalogue

I love the soft feminine feel of this card and hope its not another year before Free As A Bird sees some ink.

Hey Girlfriend Ombre Card Duo

I love the sassy girl images in the Hey Girlfriend stamp set, I think will make great cards for girls of any age to recieve. I know my seven year old has loved stamping with these more than me so far.

Today I’ve kept the cards fairly simple by just colouring with Stampin’ Blends and adding so of the Oh So Ombre 6 x 6 dsp pack as a background. This paper pack is availbale during Sale-A-Bration and is proving very popular.

I’ve used the largest scalloped square frame from the Stitched So Sweetly die set on this first card. I also had to add in the little dog as it reminds me of the one from Bella & Friends a couple of years ago, so cute!

For this card I stamped the sentiment using the Many Messages stamp and die set. This combo is great because with one stamp you get 19 messages and then simply place the die over and they all cut out in one go, so a great addition if you need a lot of sentiments quickly.

Deck the Halls Card

This is another quick card using the Christmas Gleaming stamp set, unlike my post last week this card doesn’t use the matching punches its just focuses on the Holly stamp.

I used the second largest Stitched Rectangle in Whisper white for my stampinglayer. On this I randomly stamped the holly and berries stamp all over in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. To fill in the gaps I used Real Red ink and the speckle of dots stamp to create a background.

I coloured the leaves with Mossy Meadow and the berries with Real Red Stampin’ Blends.

I used one of the patterns from the Heartwarming Hugs DSP as my background, matted onto a layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock.

My greeting was stamped on the middle circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies, with the corresponding scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Dies in Mossy Meadow behind it.

This was a quick card to pull together and so perfect if you still have a lot of cards to make.

Don’t Stop Believin’ Santa Card

I don’t think you can make Christmas cards without having a few that feature Santa himself. The Don’t Stop Believin’ stamp set has the perfect Santa image to create a focal point for your cards.

Here I’ve coloured him with Real Red Stampin’ Blends for his jacket and hat and Clear Wink of Stella to add a glittery touch to his furry trim. Now he’s all ready to deliver those presents.

The background paper comes from the ‘Tis The Season 6″ x 6″ designer series pack. This pack is full of a variety of Christmas themed imagary, if you only pick one paper pack this Christmas this would be my first choice. Until October 31st you can also recieve 15% when you purchase selected designer papers and this one is included, perfect!

Inspiration Tuesday: So Much Love

With the Get and Go! Promotion ending tomorrow I thought I’d share with you some inspiration for using one of the free stamp sets you will recieve if you join Stampin’ Up! before the end of the month. I’m show casing the So Much Love stamp set today as its one of my favourite kinds of stamp set. One because its floral and two its a stamp set with which has a lot of versalitility, which is great if you’re just starting out.

The first couple I’m going to show you are all based around the additional card packs you will recive in your starter kit this month.

The next couple use my favourite product Stampin’ Blends and some designer paper to enhance the cards:

These last few are more involved using heat embossing, embossing folders and fussy cutting.

I hope these samples have given you some inspiration for using the So Much Love stamp set. If you’d like to take advantage of the Get & Go Promotion and join Stampin’ Up!
