Country Floral Birthday Card

With the Annual Catalogue entering its last few weeks its time to start saying goodbye to some products, while the offical retiring list won’t be released just yet we know we’ll be saying goodbye to the 2017-2019 In-Colours. This makes me very sad this year as this collection has been my very favourite In-Colour collection so fingers crossed Stampin’ Up! are bringing us an even better collection to replace them.

My three favourites of this collection were Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig and Powder Pink so today’s card features all three  and highlights how well they work together.

Country Floral Birthday Card 1

For the background of the card I used the Coutnry Floral Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder with Whisper White,  I cut this into three panels measuring 4cm x 9cm and mounted these onto panels of TRaquil Tide measuring 4.5cm x 9.5cm.  The happy birthday greeting comes from the Perennial Birthday stamp set and I added a flower and leaves from the Painted Seasons Sale-A-Bration set and cut them out with the co-ordinating Four seasons Framlits.

Which of the 2011-2019 In-Colours are you going to miss the most and what are you hoping to see in the new collection, I’d love to know?

St. Patrick’s Day Card Duo

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, hope you all have a lucky day! I’m passing on the good luck by sharing this card duo I made with the Amazing Life stamp set and the brand new Sale-A-Bration Co-ordination Storybook Punch….gosh thats a mouthful!

Celebrating all things Irish i’m using a mix of Call Me Clover and Granny Apple Green for colouring the shamrocks from the Amazing Life stamp set. I used the Stampin’ Blends for the colouring which did take me a whole evening but it was a very relaxing one.

St Patricks Day card 1

For this first card I covered my whole background in the stamped and coloured shamrocks. I used the Good Luck greeting from Amazing Life and stamped it in Call Me Clover. I punched the greeting out with the Storybook punch and then punched out an additional shape in Call Me Clover cardstock, cut in half this makes the perfect border to lift the greeting punch. To finish this card I added three of the enamel dots from the Happiness Blooms collection.

St Patrick's Day card 2

For the second card I added a strip of the Call Me Clover polka dot paper from the 2018 – 2020 In-Colour DSP stack to the bottom of the card and seperated this from my stamping with a strip of Granny Apple Green cardstock.

Hope you’ve enjoyed todays projects and join me again tomorrow for some more Stampin’ Up! inspiration.

So Happy to have You Card

Today I just wanted to make a card which shows off my favourite pattern in the All My Love DSP, this red floral is gorgeous I would love to have it as wallpaper in my bedroom. I’ll have to settle for layers on cards though I think.

So Happy to have you card close up

I’m not normally a person who gravitates towards the stamp sets which contain large greetings as I struggle with how to use them but this greeting from Amazing Life works really well this paper and I feel it makes the perfect card to send to someone special to let them know you care.

I fussy cut out the banner part of the greeting just to add a little dimension to the card, maybe I should have done this in a different colour but I can’t decide, what do you think Lovely Lipstick or should I have chosen something to make it pop more.

So happy to have you flat

Do you have a favourite Stampin’ Up! paper, I’d love to know which is your favourite?

Foiled Birthday cards with Jar of Sweets Dies

This pair of cards are made completely with die cuts and no stamps. I’ve paired the Jar of Sweets Framelits with the Happy Birthday Thinlits and the gorgeous free foil from Sale-A-Bration to make these stunning cards.

Foiled Happy Birthday Card -loveley lipstick

Firstly I cut my foil matt layer and then adhered it to a sheet of the Multi Purpose Adhesive Sheets, this makes sticking intricate die-cuts like the Happy Birthday Thinlits much easier than using other adhesives.

I cut all the shapes from my adhesive foil so I only used a piece 14cm x 10cm for each card.

Foiled Happy Birthday Card - grapefruit grove

I mixed and matched the two colours of foil between the two cards, for an additional finishing touch I added some of the Grapefruit Grove  Adhesive Backed sequins from the Gingham Gala pack.

I really love how these cards have turned out, the Grapefruit Grove Foil is stunning when the light catches it and makes it look iridescent. It’s free with any order over £45.00 and I think worth placing the order if you want cards with a bit of Wow Factor.

Marshmallows Anyone?

I don’t know about you but as soon as I started using the Sweetest Thing stamp set one of the sweet stamps reminded me of marshmallows. How about you? I know they could also be Midget Gems of Jelly Tots here in the UK, I’d love to know what this cute little stamp reminds you of?

With marshmallows on the brain it was only natural to think hot chocolate and to pull out the Coffee Cafe stamp set and matching dies to make my marshmallow inspired card.

The background was created by randomly stamping those cute little marshmallows all over and then I coloured some in Dark Flirty Flamingo with the Stampin’ Blends to represent the pink ones which are a firm favourite in our house.

A little stamping and die-cutting and my hot chocolate cup was created along with a big dollop of cream and a straw in case you don’t want a creamy mustache.

To finish the card a matted my hot chocolate cup onto and oval layer to help it stand out from my marshmallow covered background and then added some of the Stitch Edge Lovely Lipstick ribbon from the All My Love Ribbon Combo pack to add a pop of colour.

I hope you like today cards and I don’t know about you but now I’m off to make my own mug of hot chocolate and yes there will be marshmallows too!
