Foiled Birthday cards with Jar of Sweets Dies

This pair of cards are made completely with die cuts and no stamps. I’ve paired the Jar of Sweets Framelits with the Happy Birthday Thinlits and the gorgeous free foil from Sale-A-Bration to make these stunning cards.

Firstly I cut my foil matt layer and then adhered it to a sheet of the Multi Purpose Adhesive Sheets, this makes sticking intricate die-cuts like the Happy Birthday Thinlits much easier than using other adhesives.

I cut all the shapes from my adhesive foil so I only used a piece 14cm x 10cm for each card.

I mixed and matched the two colours of foil between the two cards, for an additional finishing touch I added some of the Grapefruit Grove  Adhesive Backed sequins from the Gingham Gala pack.

I really love how these cards have turned out, the Grapefruit Grove Foil is stunning when the light catches it and makes it look iridescent. It’s free with any order over £45.00 and I think worth placing the order if you want cards with a bit of Wow Factor.

Jar of Sweets Birthday Card

Today’s card is focusing on the How Sweet It Is DSP and matching Jar of Sweets Framelits. I love that with these Framelits the jars were easy to cut out and then this card came together in a matter of minutes. If you prefer to stamp your own jars of sweets the Framelits match the stamps too so you can pick and mix to your hearts content.

I adhered my jars with Multipurpose liquid glue but you could add extra dimension by using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A few strips DSP create the background and the stamped and die cut label adds a greeting.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this bright fun birthday card which I think would work well whoever the sender.

Simple Stamping – Sweetest Thing

I wasn’t sure if I could create a simple stamping project with the Sweetest Thing stamp set as for me I’m finding its a stamp set which needs you to do a bit of work to make a nice card. After trying various options I’ve found a simple card I can share with you that I like. The best thing about this card is it will look just as good whatever colour inks you use or how many different colours you use, so have a play and find your favourite colour combination.

I stuck with a scheme closely matching the How Sweet Is It DSP but that’s just because those were the inks out on my desk. So I used Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana, Pineapple Punch, Melon Mambo and I used Old Olive instead of Granny Apple Green simply because I wanted to use the Old Olive Linen Thread to attach the little greeting tags from the Sweet Pins and Tags set.

Hope you can join me again tomorrow for another “Sweet” project.

Sweetest Thing Lollipop Card

This week all my projects will focus of the How Sweet It Is Suite of products which are perfect for birthdays, Valentine’s and anytime you want to share something sweet with someone. For today’s project I’ve made a very simple card featuring fussy cut lollipops from the How Sweet It Is DSP.

For a little extra something to add to the card I covered both lollipops in a thin layer of glue from the Fine-Tip Glue, this dries shiny and clear so gives the effect of a sticky lollipop, its very hard to see on the photographs though.

A simple strip of Whisper White helps the greeting to stand out. This card could easily feature any of the jars featured in the stamp set if you didn’t want to fussy cut the lollipops.

Hope you can pop back tomorrow when I have another project with this suite to share with you.

Coastal Cabana Cupcake Card

Today I’m featuring a product made using one of this years Sale-A-Bration stamp sets Hello Cupcake. Sale-A-Bration is one of my favourite times of year as throughout January, February and March for every £45.00 you can choose one item from a selection of exclusive free items. Hello Cupcake is one of my favourites as its main images create these yummy looking cupcakes.

I’ve paired the stamped image with this  Coastal Cabana striped paper from the How Sweet It Is Designer Paper to create and bright and fun card.

To add a little embellishment to the card I’ve added some Powder Pink Iridescent Sequins with the help of the Fine-Tip Glue Pen and my trusty Take You Pick Tool.

I’ve also added some layers using the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies which I think are a great addition to our die range and one I can’t wait to use on many more projects soon.
