Following on from yesterday’s post I’ve made some more cards which would work for male birthdays in fact I’ve made a collection of four so there’s one for everybody.
A few quick die cuts of the Happy Birthday Thinlit and some strips of paper form the Color Theory DSP stack.

Today I’ve got a masculine birthday card, I really struggle making these as I’m definitely a floral girl but I think this turned out ok. I used a combination of the Wood Words and Confetti Celebrations on this card. I really need to add some more birthday sentiments to my collection I think as I only have a couple suitable for males.
I went with the colour combination of Dapper Denim, Cajun Craze and Wood which I think have worked well together. To make the Happy Birthday rectangle have a stitched edge you can use the stitched shape dies and do you clever cutting. I used the third biggest square on this project.
To make the rectangle place the die on the bigshot but leave one edge over-hanging the cutting plates, if the die has no pressure it won’t cut. Run through the bigshot and then move the die along to the uncut side. To line up you can use the slight indentation the die edge has left on the cardstock. For the second run through just make sure the opposite side of the die is over hanging the cardstock.
To finish the card stamp and die cut some stars in Dapper Denim and Cajun craze and arrange randomly around the card front, allowing a couple to overlap the greetings panel.

Today I’ve gone for a very feminine look with the Oh So Eclectic stamp set so I pulled out Wild Wasabi and Blushing Bride. Wild Wasabi is a colour I haven’t used in so long but its a lovely colour, one probably more suited for spring cards so works well with this card. Today I’ve made a set of six 3″ x 3″ notecards featuring the Daisy Delight set and the Wood Words set, both of these sets are currently 15% off in the World Card Making Day Sale. The notecards are perfectly sized to coordinate with the mini envelopes and mini pizza boxes in the Autumn/Winter catalogue.
First I took Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Old Olive and made card bases measuring 3″ x 6″, scored at 3″. I made two of each colour. Next I took the Delightful Daisy DSP paper and cut matching squares measuring 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″, after inking around the edges in Daffodil Delight I adhered then to the front of my cards with Fast Fuse adhesive. This week I’m featuring cards with products in the World Card Making Day Sale and the DSP buy 3, get 1 sale. Today I’m using the Colorful Seasons stamp set and Color Theory DSP stack, which I combined with a combination of Pool Party, Berry Burst and a hint of Early Expresso.
First I took Berry Burst cardstock and cut a matt layer measuring 14cm x 10cm and then took the Color Theory DSP stack and then chose the Berry Burst White crackle paper and cut this to 13.5cm x 9.5cm.
I stuck a length of Pool Party Shimmery Ribbon across the middle of the Berry Burst crackle paper and then adhered this sheet to the Berry Burst cardstock layer. I fixed these onto a Pool Party card base measuring 14.5cm x 21cm, scored and folded at 10.5cm.
On a piece of Whisper white cardstock measuring 9cm x 7.5cm stamp the branch in Early Expresso and the greeting in Berry Burst. On a scrap piece of paper stamp five flowers in Berry Burst and add the stamens in Early Expresso. I fussy cut these out as I’ve lost my Seasonal Layers Thinlits, but if you have the dies use them.
I matted my stamped layer onto a piece of Berry Burst measuring 9.5cm x 8cm and then adhered this to the left hand side of my card. Add the cut flowers to the branch using Stampin’ Dimensional’s. To finish the card off add three of the Berry Burst Glitter Dots in various sizes to the top right hand side.
