Happy Tomorrows Floral Card

Happy Sunday everyone, hope your having a lovely relaxing day, we have some glorious sunshine here in Yorkshire today so hoping to get outside soon. For today’s card I’ve made another floral card using the Oh So Eclectic stamp set and paired it with my favourite greeting from the Colorful Seasons stamp set.  Continue reading “Happy Tomorrows Floral Card”

Berry Burst Blossoms

This week I’m featuring cards with products in the World Card Making Day Sale and the DSP buy 3, get 1 sale. Today I’m using the Colorful Seasons stamp set and Color Theory DSP stack, which I combined with a combination of Pool Party, Berry Burst and a hint of Early Expresso.

First I took Berry Burst cardstock and cut a matt layer measuring 14cm x 10cm and then took the Color Theory DSP stack and then chose the Berry Burst White crackle paper and cut this to 13.5cm x 9.5cm.

I stuck a length of Pool Party Shimmery Ribbon across the middle of the Berry Burst crackle paper and then adhered this sheet to the Berry Burst cardstock layer. I fixed these onto a Pool Party card base measuring 14.5cm x 21cm, scored and folded at 10.5cm.

On a piece of Whisper white cardstock measuring 9cm x 7.5cm stamp the branch in Early Expresso and the greeting in Berry Burst. On a scrap piece of paper stamp five flowers in Berry Burst and add the stamens in Early Expresso. I fussy cut these out as I’ve lost my Seasonal Layers Thinlits, but if you have the dies use them.

I matted my stamped layer onto a piece of Berry Burst measuring 9.5cm x 8cm and then adhered this to the left hand side of my card. Add the cut flowers to the branch using Stampin’ Dimensional’s. To finish the card off add three of the Berry Burst Glitter Dots in various sizes to the top right hand side.

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and join me tomorrow for another project inspired by the sale items.

Let It Snow Snowflake Card

Today’s card is featuring snowflakes instead of stars, which come from the Flurry of Wishes and Colorful Seasons stamp sets. I’m a huge fan of Pool Party and Island Indigo for wintery themed cards, especially snowflakes and love how the background of this card turned out.

I then was struggling a bit with what else to add to the card to finish it off without detracting too much from the background, enter the Merry Little Labels stamp set and punch. I love this set and can see many uses for the various sentiment labels in the set, but the Let It Snow one was the perfect image to use as a topper for my card.

A quick stamp and punch with the Everyday Label punch which I love and the topper is done (Stampin’ Up! if you’re reading this please, please carry this punch over to the next catalogue!). I added a couple more punched labels in Island Indigo to give a border and a extra pop, simply glue the Island Indigo labels together along one edge and then pop the stamped image in the middle lining up with the oval at the top.

A little strip of the super shiny Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon and a few enamel dots and the card is ready, super quick and easy to mass produce for this years Christmas cards.

For the inside of the card I added a Whisper White insert with a couple of snowflakes stamped in Pool Party.

Just a Little Copper…

Hi Everyone?

How are you all today? We’ve finally got some rain here in Yorkshire, its coming down quite heavy so I might need a boat by school pick up time. Today’s card is just a quick one to show you how a little copper can turn one of the Memories and More cards into something beautiful.

This background card came from the Colour Theory Memories and More pack which is perfect for creating projects around the different seasons. This was one of my favourite cards as I just loved the leaf outlines on it. To make it extra special I added a few more leaves from the Colourful Seasons stamp set and embossed with copper embossing powder .

I also added one of the fabulous greetings to the card as well and did a bit more embossing. I love the sentiments in this set and bought it more for them than the images, although I’m also a sucker for snowflakes.

To finish the card off I added a length of copper trim down the side for some extra copper and mounted onto a Crushed Curry card base. Beautiful. quick and easy I love this card.

I’m really looking forward to using the Memories and More cards on some scrapbooking projects….I just need to print some photos so watch for those coming soon.
