Proud of You Peacock Card

I have to confess I’m not a fan of this stamp set. I bought it in the suite bundlke last pre-order as I love all the accessories and embellishments which go with it, I mean how can you not love those foil sheets they are lush!

So sadly Royal Peacock has not seen much ink, even on this card I only used one stamp.

For the background I embossed some of the gorgeous Pretty Peacock Foil Sheet with the Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder, which looks stunning. I then used the largest die in the Stitched Nested Labels dies to have somewhere to add my sentiment and highlight the delicate detail in the peacock die cut.

I stamped my greeting in Bermuda Bay which I think looks great with this foil but use Pretty Peacock if you prefer. I then finished the card off with some Pretty Peacock Rhinestones from the Noble Peacock collection.

This card is not my favourite but its made me think I need to go and order some more foil sheets while I still can.

Ornate Garden Simple Thank You Card

Today I’m sharing a simple thank you card featuring products from the new Ornate Garden Suite which went on early release last month. I think this suite has a very retro vibe with the Terracotta Tile and Old Olive and our new Bumble Bee In-Colour, in reminds me of curtains my grandma had when I was little.

This card was very quick to make as it involves one layer of dsp, two die cuts and one stamped greeting and a small amount of ribbon.  I used Terracotta Tile as my colour for this card as I think it makes this background paper look it very best,

I added a strip of the Terracotta Tile ribbon across the centre of the dsp before adhering to my card base. I then stamped the greeting in Terracotta Tile on Whisper White cardstock and adhegred it to the ornate frame cut again from Terracotta Tile.

I love how the “Thank You” greeting fits perfectly in the rectangle die-cut giving a great focal point to the card, meaning you can out this card together in minutes, perfect for those customer thank yous.

Happy Easter Card

Easter is not normally a time for sending cards in the UK but given the present circumstances it might be nice to make some and let those people we can’t see know we’re still thinking of them at a time when families are generally all together. For this Easter card I’ve pulled out the Welcome Easter set which I think has the some of the cutest little animals we’ve had in a stamp set. Although I love the lamb I chose to just use the Rabbit and Chick on todays card.

After stamping both the Rabbit and the Chick in Tuxedo Memento Ink I coloured them with Stampin’ Blends and then carefully fussy cut the out.

I cut a panel of Whisper white cardstock measuring 10.5cm x 6.5cm and on this I stamped my Happy Easter greeting, the tiny little bee and some grass and flowers for my Rabbit and Chick to sit among. I matted this on some Highland Heather cardstock measuring 11cm x 7cm.

The background layer of the card is made from a piece of the Subtles Designer Paper in Soft Sea Foam measuring 13.9cm x 9.5cm adhered to a layer of Highland Heather cardstock measuring 14.4cm x 10cm. This was then adhered to a Whiper white card base.

To finish off the card I added my Rabbit and Chick to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Floral Friday: Pop of Petals Floral Trio Card

It’s Friday so it’s time for my weekly dose of floral stamping, today I’ve pulled out the Pop of Petals stamp set which hasn’t seen much ink recently. For today’s project I’ve used Petal Pink, Old Olive and Terracotta Tile, a colour I’ve not used much.

To create the flowers I pulled out my Stampin’ Markers in Petal Pink and Terracotta Tile. I coloured the centre of stamp with Petal Pink and the outer petals with Terracotta Tile to give a lovely two-tone flower when stamped. I stamped and punched out three of these. I then stamped and cut out six of the rose type leaves in Old Olive.

I ran the Whisper White layer through the Subtle Embossing Folder to add some texture, sadly this doesn’t show up on my photos. I mounted this on a background layer of Terracotta Tile and ran a strip of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon across the middle.

I stamped my sentiment from the Stitched All Around stamp set onto a Whisper White die cut from the stitched Labels Dies. I then arranged the flowers around the sentiment and added the leaves. For a final finishing touch I added Frosted Epoxy Droplets, coloured in Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends, to the centre of each flower.

Have you pulled out the Pop of Petals stamp set recently, I’d love to know what you made.

Be As Bold As Your Lipstick Card

One for the girls today with this lipstick themed card made with the Dressed to Impress  stamp set and matching All Dressed Up dies. I’ve used the colour scheme from the Best Dressed 6 x 6 Designer Paper of Lovely Lipstick, Basic Black and Purple Posy to highlight the femininity of the card.

I’ve used the tag die from the Bonanaze dies, this was the perfect size to fit my sentiment on and the die cut lipstick.

I’ve finished the card off with some 1/8″ grosgrain ribbon in Lovely Lipstick and some enamel dots from the Happiness Blooms collection.
