Three Card Thursday: Spirited Snowmen

So I’m back today with three cards using a limited number of products and featuring the Spirited Snowmen stamp set from the Autumn/Winter catalogue. This is one of my favourite stamp sets to colour with the Stampin’ Blends as a little colour brings these cute characters to life.

Spirited snowmen Card 1

for the first card I used a Pool Party base stamped with snowflakes. The cute snowman was coloured with a mix of Old Olive, Lovely Lipstick and Bermuda Bay and the label is cut from the Petals and More Thinlits.

Spirited Snowmen Card 2

I used a layer of vellum stamped with Versamark to give this card some extra detail. I love how this one turned out and think I’m saving it to give to my husband for Christmas.

Spirited Snowmen Card 3

How cheeky does this little guy look? He’s guaranteed to put a smile on the recipients face I’m sure. I fussy cut some of the holly to create some added embellishments for this card.  These three cards use all the stamps in the Spirited Snowmen set which makes me happen as its something which happens so rarely, but does show what a great set this is to work with.

Very Vintage Birthday Card

Today’s project was inspired by one in the catalogue on page 226, my version is much simpler and perfect for when you need a quick floral themed birthday card.

The Very Vintage stamp set is a hostess set so only available with orders over £150.00 but its one to consider adding to your stash as it has a lovely mix of sentiments and images. I chose to work with the two largest elements to make my card.

I created a tone on tone background with Old Olive cardstock and ink and the lace doily image. I love the distressed vintage feel of this image I think its made a great background for this card.

A little colouring with the watercolour pencils and the blender created the focal point for this card and really reminds me of some china which my grandma used to have, if anyone’s in the UK and knows what I’m on about I’d love to know the name of the china?

I finished the card off with a simple Happy Birthday banner created from the Birthday Banners stamp set and Bunch of Banners Framelits.

Which do you prefer the catalogue version or my simplified version?

Christmas Card featuring the Merry Christmas Thinlits

Following on from yesterday’s card I have another card to share which doesn’t use an stamping. Today its a Christmas card using the Merry Christmas Thinlits and some of the All is Bright Designer Paper.

To add some extra detail to the “Merry Christmas” greeting and the All is Bright background layer I made a layer from vellum. I used the Detailed Bauble Thinlits, first using the detailed doily image and embossing it with the Big Shot Embossing Mats and then cutting out the doily with the edging die.

A simple card with a big impact which is fairly easy to mass produce if you don’t mind a bit of die cutting!

September Customer Thank You Cards: Rainbow Blends

For my September customer cards I wanted to create so colourful rainbow cards so I got colouring with my Stampin’ Blends to create a background.  I used seven of the dark Stampin’ Blends in Real Red, Pumpkin pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Night of Navy and Blackberry Bliss to colour stripes to create my background.

To finish off the card I cut out the Thank You Thinlit in Shimmery white cardstock and added some punched out some stars from the Twinkle Builder punch to embellish.

For my second card I switched things around and cut my “Thank You”  and gthe stars from some coloured cardstock and stuck onto a white card base.

The best adhesive I’ve found for using these large delicate die cuts is the multipurpose adhesive sheets as no adhesive is shown, but be careful when placing your die cut as when they’re stuck down there’s no moving them.

I love how simple and bright these cards are, they could easily be turned into birthday cards using the Happy Birthday Thinlit die, you could also change up the colours to match any theme you like.
