Razzleberry Flowers Birthday Card using the Stampin’ Blends

For today’s card I wanted to do some colouring with the new Stampin’ Blends so pulled out the Color Me Happy stamp set which was also released last week. This stamp set has plenty of images to colour so is the perfect partner for the Blends.

It’s feels like ages since I made a card with any flowers on and as you know I love my flowers, so I pulled out the cute little flower stamp. I took a piece of Whisper White Thick cardstock measuring 9.5cm x 13.3cm and randomly stamped the flower all over.  Continue reading “Razzleberry Flowers Birthday Card using the Stampin’ Blends”

All Hearts Come Home Christmas Card

For today’s card I wanted to create a little scene with the houses in the Hearts Come Home stamp set. As these are quite small I decided to use the largest Stitched Circle Framelit to create a focus point.

I stamped the greeting “All Hearts Come…”  in Smokey Slate. I then stamped one of the small houses in Smokey Slate and one in Real Red and then cut them out. I cut the roof off the Smokey Slate house and adhered it to the Real Red House. I then stamped two trees in Garden Green and cut them out too.

To create the snowy rifts I cut out another circle in Dazzling Diamonds and cut two curved sections to sit the house and trees on.

For the background of the card I cut a matt layer in Real Red measuring 10cm x 14cm and another layer measuring 9.5cm x 13.5cm from the snowfall paper out of the Christmas Around the World DSP.

To finish the card I added a strip of Real Red down the left side to attach the circle scene onto. I then added six silver dots from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack. I really love how this card turned out.

Santa Silhouette Card

For today’s card I wanted the lovely Santa and his sleigh stamp from the Hearts Come Home stamp set to be the focus of the card and what better way to make him the focus than to have him flying across the moon. Surely one of the most iconic images of Christmas Eve everywhere.

To create the card I cut a layer of Night of Navy to 10cm x 14cm and a matching layer of Window Sheet. I then put the two layers together and cut the circle out of the 6cm diameter circle from the Layering Circle Framelits.

I then fixed the window sheet layer temporarily to the front of the card with washi tape. I then took some Crumb Cake ink on a sponge and very lightly inked the bottom left edge of the circle. I then stamped the Santa in the middle of the circle with blank memento ink.

Next take the Night of Navy layer and stamp Joy to the World and some random small stars in Versamark. Heat emboss this with Silver Stampin Emboss Powder to finish the layer.

To complete the card line the Night of Navy layer over the top of the stamped images on the Whisper White card base. The Crumb Cake ink should look like a shadow at the bottom of the moon.

Inside I just stamped a quick greeting in Night of Navy. Join me tomorrow for another card using the Hearts Come Home stamp set.

Pootles Design Team: The Little Things Week 1

14088395_10153745365531603_281310922678395855_n

Today I’m super excited that I’m part of the Pootler’s Design Team for November, this month the stamp set that we have been given to work is The Little Things which is such a cute set for creating labels for all occasions.

For this week’s project I have chosen to focus on the gorgeous “December Deliciousness” stamp, I have used it to create a set of notecards which would be suitable for my little girl to hand out to her classmates.

For some reason this stamp reminds me of lasts years Candy Cane Lane DSP so used this to create a colour scheme of Crumb Cake, Early Expresso, Real Red and Very Vanilla.

For these two cards I wanted to cover up the words so I took the stripe stamp and stamped in Real Red, I then cut this out using the Bunch of Banners. For the greeting I took the Made Extra Special stamp and just inked up the “Just For You” you with the Early Expresso marker and then punched this out with the Classic Label Punch.

For this second set of notecards I wanted to use the same set but use a more Christmassy greeting. To make a space for a greeting I covered the December Deliciousness up with washi tape and inked up the stamp. Remember to remove the washi tape before stamping or you will have a big brown splodge….like I did the first time I did these cards.

For this last set I still wanted them to match but didn’t want to use the big stamp. I used the same greeting as the previous two notecards with the stamps from Merry Café in the middle. I then stamped the gingerbread man and the star in Early Expresso and Crumb Cake. I love these little stamps, I mean is there anything cuter than a mini gingerbread man?

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project, if you want to see what the rest of the team created the links can be found on http://www.pootles.com

Join me next week and see what else I create with this stamp set.
