Christmas Baubles Card

Today I’ve been playing with the Christmas Gleaming bundle making loads of baubles, which is super easy with the punch duo and the gorgoeus Brightly Gleaming Speciality DSP.  I love this paper and it seems everyone esle does to as Stampin’ Up! can’t seem to keep the warehouses stocked with it.

I’ve paired my gorgeous background paper with a matt layer in Pretty Peacock, I was tempted to use Copper Foil but thought that might ne a copper overload with the Celestial Copper ink and Brightly Gleaming Foil elements which also appear on the card.

Along with the baubles, one punched and one stamped, I’ve stamped the holly spring. I stamped this in Celestial Copper Delicata Ink and the coloured with Stampin’ Blends. The colours have gone a little muddy so I think next time I’ll use Versamark and Copper Embossing Powder if I want to colour an image.

A simple Merry Christmas stamped in Pretty Peacock and the card is done.

Coppper Shining Star Card

Todays card uses the So Many Stars bundle and the Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements. I used the large star in the elements pack as my focal point and die cut a Night of Navy star from the Stitched Stars Dies to lift the copper star from the background.

The background itself was just Night of Navy cardstock stamped with the small detailed star from So Many Stars in the Celestial Copper Delicata ink.

I stamped my greeting onto a 3cm x 14.4cm strip of Whisper White cardstock so it went the whole length of the front of the card.

To finish the card I added a Night of Navy Rhinestone in the centre of my Brightly Gleaming Foil Star.

Floral Friday: Christmas Rose Wedding Card

Today I’ve used the Christmas Rose stamp set to create a wedding card. I’ve gone far away from the colours in the Christmastime Is Here Suite and focused on colours from my own wedding.  I used Blackberry Bliss and Gold for my own wedding stationary, here I’ve added in Mint Macaron as a green for the foiliage.

I stamped the Chrsitmas Rose in Versamark and embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I coloured the roses with both Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends and the leaves in a mix of Light Shaded Spruce and Dark Mint Macaron which gave them a two-tone effect which I really like.  I used a few drops of Golden Glitz Delicata Reinker and a Blender pens to colour in the berries on the image.

I added some interest to the Mint Macaron background layer by stamping the inner berry stamp in a random pattern all over with Versmark ink. I then added a strip of the Gold Shimmer Ribbon across the middle before adhering onto the Gold Foil layer.

I stamped the greeting from Beautiful Bouquet onto the large frame from the Roses die set and added this to the card. I then added my rose diecut over the top. I finished the card off with some of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots which I am loving and seem to be putting on every thing I make.

I’m loving all the products in the Christmastime Is Here Suite and actually how versatile they are as I don’t think this card looks Chrismassy at all do you?

Congrats Lighthouse Card

I’m not a fan of real lighthouses as I’m scared of heights, I can still remember walking up ten steps of Portland Bill, a lighthouse in Dorset UK and being terrified and going all dizzy. I however like the stamps in the Sailing Home stamp set and can appreciate how detailed that lighthouse stamp is and how it makes a great focal point for a card.

Here I’ve stamped it in Night of Navy and then die cut it so the bottom edge where the sea is can overlap my oval. I love the detail on the rope die which I have used across the middle of the card to seperate the two diffrent patterns of paper from the Come Sail Away DSP.

A greeting stamped on the small banner from the Smooth Sailing dies finishes the card.

Pretty Peacock Gather Together Card

Today’s monochromatic Pretty Peacock card would make the perfect notecard for suggesting a meet-up with friends or just to let them know you care.  I love how all the different embellishments work together to create interest to what is a very simple card.

I wanted to use the wooden leaves on numerous projects but couldn’t quite make them work here I think thye do. The first leaf was adhered to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the second was adhered using Mini Glue Glue Dots so it could add some dimension to the card.

A few Pretty Peacock Rhinestone from the Nobel Peacock collection and the card is finished.  A card suitable for all year round and not just harvest time.
