Sandy Beach Ice Cream Card

I’m back again today with another card featuring the Ice Cream Corner Suite, this time focusing on the Ice Cream Builder Punch and the Designer Paper. Included in the Ice Cream Corner DSP are four designs which work perfectly with the punch. The first is a design which is cross hatched and looks like ice cream cones, there are also three designs which have watercoloured splodges on them (beautiful as backgrounds) which when using the punch can become the scoops of ice cream. I really love how they’ve been designed to make crafting easy.

To make the sandy beach effact background I tore a matt of scrap paper and adhered it to the centre of the card base with one glue dot. I then took then Bending Brush and worked a layer of So Saffron ink all around the edges and the over the top with a layer of Crumb Cake, to add a little depth. Wish I hadn’t been quite so with the Crumb Cake as it now looks like mud, oh well!

I then added three punched ice-creamsto the centre of the card, looking at them now I think I should have given then some sprinkles.

I’ve finished the card off with a few Mango Melody Self Adhesive Sequins from the Artistry Blooms Collections and the Happy Birthday greeting from the set stamped in Blackberry Bliss. No joke I’d buy this stamp set for that Happy Birthday stamp alone as I love it!

Treat Yourself Lollipop Card

The Ice Cream Corner Suite is my favourite from the January to June Mini Catalogue, I love all the bright fun colours and who doesn’t love ice-cream! The paper is my favourite part of this suite and I’d love to hoard packs and packs of it but think hubby would get annoyed. Each sheet is full of colour and will definitely make you smile.

For this card I’ve used my very favourite sheet with the multi-coloured ice-cream cones and matted it on Blackberry Bliss to really make it “pop”.

I’ve stamped a couple of lollipops to add as a focal point. These are made with two stamps, for the tops I’ve used second generation stamping to get a lighter colour. So my lollipops are probably your normal Strawberry and Blur Raspeberry. But you can mix up the colours to make any flavour you like, Granny Apple Green and Magenta Madness anyone?

I’ve finished the card off with a touch of the Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon. I love how this is see-through so you can see even more yummy ice-creams peeping through.

Eggs and Chicks Easter Card

Happy Easter everyone, hope you get to celebrate with your families in some way. Can you guess the inspiration for this card? Thats right Mini Eggs, I’m a huge fan of these and would eat them year round if I could find them. At least now with the Chick Dies I can create my own card versions whenever I want.

The chickens and egg come from both the Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick sets, I’m loving the endless combinations of scenes you can make with these characters and highly recommend you pick them up if your a chicken lover.

The greeting comes from the Timeless Tulips stamp set and I’ve used one of the flower stalks as a post for my greeting signpost. The actual sign is made from the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.

Can you guess how many eggs are on the card?

Answer: 59, as the die cuts two eggs at a time thats 30 trips through the Cut and Emboss machine, worth it though dont you think!

Rococo Rose Tasteful Touches Flower Card

Rococo Rose cardstock may have already sold out but Fliry Flamingo could be a good alternative if you want to case this card. I’ve used the Tasteful Touches stamp set and die set and gone for a vintage type card today.

The background paper come from the In Good Taste DSP pack and this is one of my favourite sheets in the pack as I love the look of this woven cotton fabric effect, perfect for that vintage feel.

I’ve stamped the flower twice to layer it up and give a 3D effect. I’ve brushed over it with Wink of Steller to give the flower a lovely glittery touch.

I’ve added a few stamped Pear Pizzazz springs to the background paper to add some grounding to my flower and greeting.

Magenta Madness Ice Cream Scoop Card

We’ve just had two days of glorious sunshine here in the UK which made me think ice creams outside might be a possibility over the Easter weekend. Sadly this is England so sunny periods are short lived and we’re back to wooly jumpers and cocoa beside the fire.

Anyway thought I’d still share this bright cheery ice-cream card and we can all keep our fingers crossed the sunshine makes an appearance again soon. I chose to Magenta Madness as my background colour as I think its the brightness most fun colour we have. I’ve paired that with Early Espresso and Mint Macaron to emphasize the ice-cream theme.

I used the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set to stamp my ice cream scoops and cone and the matching Ice cream Builder Punch to punch out. Then simply build your ice cream however you want, mines got Chocolate, Stawberry and Mint with Chocolate Sprinkles!

The greeting was stamped on spare cardstock in Early Espresso and fussy cut out, I’m new to fussy cutting words so I’m not 100% happy with the result but practise makes perfect. A few Magenta Madness Enamel Dots finish off the card.
