Glitter Christmas Tree Tags

So this week I’ve started my Christmas gift wrapping and these glittery Christmas Tree Tags are adorning some of them.  They’re quick to make and you can get eight from on sheet of A4 so cost effective too.

I’ve used Real Red and Shaded Spruce for that traditional Christmas feel. Firstly cut your cardstock in half on the short edge so you have two have eachmeasuring 105.cm in width. Now cut four tags from each half wth a width of 5cm each. At 5cm they will easily slide into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, giving a decorative top for each tag. To finish off the base of your tags use the Detailed Trio Punch to round off the bottom two corners.

Real Red Christmas Tree Tags

I used the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set to add a greeting to the bottom of each tag. I did use the Golden Glitz Delicata Ink, which is sadly no longer available but I’m hoping most of you were able to get your hands on it. On the back of each tag I used the to/from stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink so its easier to label.

For the Real Red Tag I used the Pine Tree Tag to punch trees from the Gold Glimmer paper and decorated them with Real Red Rhinestones and topped with a star from the Most Wonderful Time Medley which was coloured Real Red with a Stampin’ Blends Marker. I topped these tags with some Gold Metallc Edged Ribbon which is Very Vanilla in colour.

Shaded Spruce Gift Tags

For the Shaded Spruce Tags I used Real Red Glimmer paper for the Christmas trees. I decorated these trees with the tinsel ribbon again from the Most Wonderful Time Medley and topped with one of the gold stars. These tags were finished off with some of 3/8″ Real Red cotton ribbon.

Hope you enjoyed todays project and have a go at making your own gift tags.

Silver Tree Card Trio

Yesterday’s card was a simple one layer of stamping, in contrast today I’ve used many techiniques on this little card trio.

Firstly I cut made my 3″ square card blanks and cut the first layers matts in Seaside Spray, Mint Macaron and Rococo Rose to 2 7/8″ sqaures. I then cut three sqaures of Fluid 100 watercolour card to 2 5/8″ squares.

I then coloured a watercolour wash on each watercolour card layer using each of my three colours of ink and an Aqua Painter. I don’t have the reinkers for these three colours so just ran my aqua painter along the inkpad edge to pick up some ink.

While my watercolour washes were drying I stamped three trees from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set onto vellum with Versamark ink. I then heat embossed these with Silver Embossing powder and punched them out using the Pine Tree Punch.

Rococo Rose & Silver Tree Card

For a greeting a stamped Christmas Cheer from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and punched them out with the Classic Label Punch. I adhered the trees to each card using Mine Glue Dots and then used Tear & Tape to attached my greeting labels.

To finish the cards I added some Silver Foil stars punch from the Twinkle Builder Punch.

I love how these turned out and as there small they will work as either Christmas cards or gift tags.

Christmastime Rose Card

This is the first card I made with the new Christmastime Is Here Suite of products.  How gorgeous is that rose and its cut from the designer paper with a die so this stunning card came together in minutes.

I love that with the die you can cut the paper or stamp the rose outline and then cut that out so all the beautiful detail is kept and not lost with a fussy cutting mishap.

I’ve added some extra detail to this card by using the corner dies to cut some goild foil. I think they look like corners of an ornate frame and I was tempted to added a gold foil matt under the green layer but though that might be too much.

Christmastime Rose Card - flat

I added a little greeting from Itty Bitty Christmas. I stampe dit in Golden Glitz Delicata ink and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch. To fix it to the card I cut a little slit up near the pine cone so  it could slot it among the foiliage and not detract too much from the goregous rose image.

Patchwork Plaid Card Duo

Who doesn’t love cosying up under a patchwork quilt when its cold outside, I know I do and thats whats inspired this patchwork card. Each little patchwork square measures 4″ x 4″ and is cover with 16 1″ squares. I chose two patterns of the main colour, one of a contrasting colour and one white based pattern and I’ve used the same basic pattern for each card, just varied the papers used.

Patchwork Plaid Cherry Cobbler Card

I made one card in Cherry Cobbler and one in Night of Navy. Each card base measures 5″ and is made from Whisper White Thick Cardstock. I then cut a matt of either Cherry Cobbler or Night of Navy measuirng 4 3/4″ x  4 3/4″. I then added a Gold foil layer measuring 4.5″ x 4.5″ and onto this I added my little patchwork sqaures.

Patchwork Plaid Night of Navy

I finished each card off with a Gold Foil Circle, a cardstock tree from the Pine Tree punch and and a greeting from Itty Bitty Christmas stamped on the small banner from from the Smooth Sailing die collection.

I love the patchwork effect and it’s the ideal way to use up all those little scraps we have left after a crafting session. I’m going to make some more cards with this effect very soon.

Thinking of You Christmas Penguin Card

Todays card features the gorgoues Feels Like Frost Speciality Designer Paper which here in Europe has definitly been one of the most popular products of the Autmn/Winter catalogue. I can totally see why this paper pack is so stunning with wintery scenes on one side of each sheet and silver foiled patterns on the other making it suitable for so much more than Christmas. It’s currently in stock as I type this so if you want some grab it as I’m sure it’ll be on backorder again within days.

Thinking of You Penguin close up

I’ve used the Itty Bitty Christmas  stamp set for my greeting and paired that with one of the penguins from Playful Penguins. I did have a Seaside Spray scarf cut out for him but it disappeared off my desk before I had chance to stick it down, so imagine it there if you like.

If you’ve managed to get hold of the Feels Like Frost paper then I’d love to know what you’ve created with it.
