Floral Friday: Inspiring Iris

For today’s card I’ve used Inspiring Iris again, I just love this stamp set, it reminds me of one of my old favourites Blooms & Wishes with the watercoloured flower effect. The end card today looked nothing like how it started in my head and my desk looks like a bomb has exploded as I’ve fussy cut flowers and die cuts strewn all over. but after considerably time stamping and cutting the end result is quite simple and I love it.

A couple of the stamped rose type flowers and a greeting and you have a gorgeous card. I’ve added a few Gold Metallic Pearls to the flowers centres just to add a little bling.

Rococo Rose I think is my new favourite colour (yes this does change on a weekly basis) but I loving how perfect it pairs up with Mint Macaron and Crumb two of my other favourites!

Blackberry Bliss Inspiring Iris

I’m loving all the floral stamps sets in the new catalogue and Inspiring Iris is one of my favourites. I love Irises but have sadly never managed to grow any in my garden..yet, so for the time being I can now happily create as many as I like.

For this card I went for a simple colour scheme of Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive, mostly so I could use some of the gorgeous Noble Peacock Speciality DSP which is covered in foil accents and its stunning.

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the three different sections of the Iris and although it’s not lined up perefectly (not sure if its meant too or not) I love it as it adds to that floaty floral feel. To finish the card I added some Blackberry Bliss twine from the Nature’s Twine pack and a little bow.

A gorgeous card for any occassion, I can see myself using this stamp set alot in the coming weeks.
