Fantastic Foil Doily Card

I really do think the free Sale-A-Bration foil sheets are fantastic in both Lovely Lipstick and Grapefruit Grove, I can’t chose a favourite and I have stocked up on mulitple packs of this gorgeous foil.

For this card I was inspired by the sample in Spring/Summer catalogue on page 47 which used the large doily from the Doily Builder Framelits to create a background. I wanted to use the foil so chose black for my die-cut layer to give the foil the biggest wow factor and boy does it shine, I love the colour changes of this card so so much.

I didn’t want to add too much else to the card so used various circular dies to build up an area for the sentiment. For a final embellishment I added some of the Share What You Love pearls in Grapefruit Grove.

If you haven’t picked up any of this gorgeous foil yet and you’re in Europe then place a £45.00 order now and you can have a pack for free!

Polka Dot Pillow Box

I’ve had the Kraft Pillow Boxes in my new goodies basket for ages and with the new catalogue approaching I thought it was time I did something with them. Going with the dots printed on them I decided to embrace the polka dots and work with similar products.

I knew I also wanted to use the wooden button elements out of the Sale-A-Bration catalogue as these will be gone next week. Looking for a dotty type paper I chose the Soft Soft Seafoam and Night of Navy pattern out of the Tranquil Textures DSP. This also worked well as meant I could colur my butterfly with the matching Stampin’ Blends.

The Night of Navy layer measures 17.5cm x 8cm, scored at 8cm and 16cm enabling you to fold around the box and secure it closed with the additional little flap, for this I used Tear ‘n’ Tape. The DSP layer measures 17.cm x 7cm and was again scored at 8cm and 16cm.

To create the ruffle at the edge I used the Whisper white Polka DotTulle Ribbon folded onto a strip of Tear ‘n’ Tape. To continue with the dotty theme I added a sentiment from Climbing Roses stamped on the dot edged fram from the Rose Trellis.

To finish the box off I added the wooden butterfly which had been coloured with Stampin’ Blends. To give the Seafoam layer more definition I coloured it also with wink of Stella to give some sparkle. The butterfly was adhered with quite a few mini glue dots as I wanted to use a dry adhesive.

I love how this turned out and think it would make a lovely table favour for any special occasion or just filled with treats to give to that special someone.

Painted Seasons Birthday Card

I wanted to share with you another card I’ve made with the Painted Seasons stamp set and matching framelits as this sets will no longer be available after Sunday as March 31st signals the end of this year’s Sale-A-Bration

I chose to use Gorgeous Grape as despite being a purple I haven’t really warmed to this colour yet, I think its because its more on the blue blue side of purple. It’s quite a bright colour when you see a full sheet of cardstock so I’ve toned it done by adding a vellum layer. The fancy edge at the bottom is cut using the Delicate Lace Egelits Dies which I think really adds a wow to this card.

The greeting comes from the More Than Word stamp set which has sentiments to co-ordinate with many of our Sale-A-Bration sets, this will also be gone after Sunday ao grab it while you can as it has a lovely mix of fonts. I stamped the greeting on a frame from the Stitched Label Framelits as I thought the edge work well with the lacy die.

To finish the card I added some leaves and one of those gorgeous flowers from the Painted Leaves stamp set, every time I stamp this flower I’m amazed by how much detail there is in just one stamp, its stunning!!

Home to Roost Card with a Crazy Colour Combination

For today’s card I challenged myself to use some products which are not my favourites. As a starting point I pulled out some So Saffron cardstock, a colour I very very rarely use. This made me think of straw so I pulled out the Home to Roost stamp set from this year’s Sale-A-Bration selection and also the Garden Impressions 6 x 6 DSP stack which I find a little busy with so many colours included.

Here’s what I came up with and actually I quite like it, whowould have thought So Saffron, Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay would work together.

Just a touch of Bermuda Bay has really brought this card to life don’t you think?

All Adorned Card

Today I’m sharing with you a quick card I made with the free Sale-A-Bration stamp set All Adorned. I love the simplicity of this stamp set, its perfect to work with when you just want to stamp and make pretty patterns, if like me you need this one in your collection then place a £45.00 order before the end of the month and its yours for free.

I picked a colour scheme of Soft Seafoam and Merry Merlot to work with today as these are my favourite colours from this catalogue’s colour refresh and I love how good they look together, this is the perfect combination for a male or female card and its one all definitely be using again soon.

I stamped the Soft Seafoam images first randomly all over my cardstock and then overstamped with the smaller medallion type stamp. These two stamps match up perfectly to create a lovely two-toned pattern. Simply line up the four outer dots on the smaller stamp with the circles on the larger stamp and hey presto, gorgeous background.

To help my sentiment stand out I used the Everyday Label punch and the starburst punch to create a couple of layers.

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s quick and simple project.
