Patchwork Plaid Card Duo

Who doesn’t love cosying up under a patchwork quilt when its cold outside, I know I do and thats whats inspired this patchwork card. Each little patchwork square measures 4″ x 4″ and is cover with 16 1″ squares. I chose two patterns of the main colour, one of a contrasting colour and one white based pattern and I’ve used the same basic pattern for each card, just varied the papers used.

Patchwork Plaid Cherry Cobbler Card

I made one card in Cherry Cobbler and one in Night of Navy. Each card base measures 5″ and is made from Whisper White Thick Cardstock. I then cut a matt of either Cherry Cobbler or Night of Navy measuirng 4 3/4″ x  4 3/4″. I then added a Gold foil layer measuring 4.5″ x 4.5″ and onto this I added my little patchwork sqaures.

Patchwork Plaid Night of Navy

I finished each card off with a Gold Foil Circle, a cardstock tree from the Pine Tree punch and and a greeting from Itty Bitty Christmas stamped on the small banner from from the Smooth Sailing die collection.

I love the patchwork effect and it’s the ideal way to use up all those little scraps we have left after a crafting session. I’m going to make some more cards with this effect very soon.

Pine Tree Punch Christmas Tree Card Duo

This pair of cards feature the Pine Tree Punch to build up larger Christmas trees. Each tree is made up of nine punched trees, punched from the Wrapped in Plaid Speciality DSP.

I’ve based one card on Night of Navy and one on Shaded Spruce and given each one a gold foil star punched from the Twinkle Builder Punch.

Pine Tree Punch Christmas Card 2

This is  a quick and simple card which would be easy to mass produce if you have a lot of Christmas cards to make, you can also use any papers you’ve got to make the tree.

Blueberry Bushell Christmas Tree Card

The Perfectly Plaid bundle is one I’m just getting round to using and I’m finding it great for quick but stunning cards. This one took less than ten minutes to create and I think it looks fab.

I’m a huge fan of the Feels Like Frost dsp, it makes gorgeous backgrounds and I think this pattern works well with these tree stamps.

I stamped the greeting on some seperate card and fussy cut round the “Christmas Cheer” and added this to the bottom of the trees with some Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A few rhinestone from the Noble Peacock collection finish the card off beautifully.

I love how this card turned out. It’s simple but classy and think its adesign which would work well with most of our Stampin’ Up! colours, which colour would you chose?

Everything Is Rosy Christmas Card Trio

Remember back in May when Stampin’ Up! released their first product medley Everything Is Rosy, well its now available in the clearance rack with a 15% discount. So I thought I’d pull out my collection and give Everthing Is Rosy a Christmas twist.

I’ve paired it with the Christmas Gleaming bundle as I think the rich jewel tones of Night of Navy, Melon Mambo and Rose Gold would work well as baubles.

Everythings Rosy Christmas Card 1

Before I put my card together I used the Rose Gold Shimmer Paint and a sponge dauber to “stamp” some baubles on Night of Navy and Whisper White cardstock. I then punched these out with the Gleaming Ornaments Punch pack along with some extra baubles from the paper from Everything is Rosy.

Everythings Rosy Christmas Trio Card 2

Along with the baubles I added some die cuts from the Stitched Nested dies and some of the flourishes from the Everything is Rosy dies.

Everythings Rosy Chrsitmas Card 3

Some of the Night of Navy Gold Edged Ribbon and pearls coloured with the Rose Gold shimmer paint add a few finishing off touches for these cards.

I love how these turned out and I have many more baubles ready to make more cards, so guess what I’ll be doing this afternoon.

I urge to to pick up the Everything Is Rosy Medley which you still can I love it so much and confession time yes I did order a second one just to get more of the gorgoeus papers, don’t tell my husband.

Simple Snowman Card

Today I’m featuring the products in the Let It Snow Suite again, focusing on the Snowman Builder Punch and the Let It Snow Embellishment Kit. I love this embellishment kit as it contains everything you need to turn a simple punched shape into a cute snowman with his own little felt hat.

Simple Snowman Card Close Up

For the background I simply stamped some of the snowflakes from the Snowman Season stamp set in Real Red ink on the Real Red cardstock to give a tone on tone look.

A strip of the Let It Snow Speciality DSP and a greeting stamped on the frame from the Wild Rose dies finishes the outside of the card.

Simple Snowman Card - Inside

A few snowflakes in Pool Party and a greeting in Real Red finish off the inside of the card.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this cute little project, the Let It Snow Embellishment kit is proving very popular so  if you want to have a play with it then I’d been ordering one soon.
