Floral Friday: Inspiring Iris

For today’s card I’ve used Inspiring Iris again, I just love this stamp set, it reminds me of one of my old favourites Blooms & Wishes with the watercoloured flower effect. The end card today looked nothing like how it started in my head and my desk looks like a bomb has exploded as I’ve fussy cut flowers and die cuts strewn all over. but after considerably time stamping and cutting the end result is quite simple and I love it.

A couple of the stamped rose type flowers and a greeting and you have a gorgeous card. I’ve added a few Gold Metallic Pearls to the flowers centres just to add a little bling.

Rococo Rose I think is my new favourite colour (yes this does change on a weekly basis) but I loving how perfect it pairs up with Mint Macaron and Crumb two of my other favourites!

Geared Up Garage Father’s Day Card

With Father’s Day just round the corner I thought it was time to share some card ideas with you and the Classic Garage Suite is the perfect place to start and the best news is the stamp set and dies are carrying over into the new catalogue…yay!!

I wanted Tranquil Tide to be the main focus of this card as its retiring and I won’t get many more chances to showcase what a gorgeous colour it is, I’m hoping this is one that Stampin’ Up! bring back at a later date.

I stamped the card in Stazon ink and then water-colured with Tranquil Tide ink, you can use the inkpads or reinkers to do this. I added some shading with Basic Grey and the headlights in Crushed Curry which add a little pop of colour to the card.

For the background I stamped some Tranquil Tide ink onto the nut background paper using the big splodge stamp from Artisan Textures to create a darker area. I then layered up the cogs die from Gargae Gears in the Galvanized Metallic Paper which is currently on sale in the clearance rack, this paper is the perfect addtion to this suite as it emphasizes the “metal” of garages.

To finsh off the card I added the Happy Father’s Day card label from the stamp set, I really love how this card turned out as male cards are hard for me due to the lack of floral elements you can use!

Blueberry Bushell Balloon Birthday Card

I’m so so sad that the Happy Birthday Die is retiring, this is hands down my most used die, its so perfect for quick and gorgeous birthday cards. If you just buy one thing off the retiring list then make this the product, I think its a must have and will never part with mine.

For this quick birthday card I used the Best Route DSp as inspiration for a colour palette taking Blueberry Bushell as my main colour, the perfect boy birthday blue in my opinion and mixed it with some Mango Melody and Call Me Clover.

I finished the card off with some balloons from Birthday Banners another stamp set which is leaving us at the end of May.

This card is for my godson who is ten tomorrow, I hope he likes it.

Wonderful Romance Anniversary Card

After making an Anniversary card with the To Have and To Hold stamp set I decided to make a few more using other sets, so today I’m sharing this card made with the Wonderful Romance bundle.

This is part of the Floral Romance Suite which is perfect for all theings romanctic and wedding themed. There are some gorgeous embellishments in this suite but sadly they didn’t make it onto this card but look out for them on a project soon.

I used Lovely Lipstick and Soft Sea Foam as a colour scheme to show these products look gorgeous in any combination, not just those suggested in the suite.

To start the card I stamped and embossed three of the floral bunches on vellum. I then coloured them on the verse side using a mixute of Mossy Meadow with hints of Pineapple Punch for the leaves and Lovely Lipstick and Petal Pink on the flowers.

I used one full bunch of flowers for one side of my card and sections of the other two images I’d stamped on the other side so I ended up with more of the larger flowers. I love that you can cut the images up to create your own arrangements, don’t be afraid to experiment as thats part of the fun

I finished the card off with some Lovely Lipstick Enamel Dots in the centres of the flowers which really bring out the Lovely Lipstick.

I love how versatile this bundle is and think you should definielty consider it for your collection before its gone.

Thank You Thinlit Card

As promised here’s another project made using the Share What You Love Suite and the A Big Thank You Bundle. Today I’ve just used the Thank You Thinlit to make a card with no stamping, so if you need a thank you card quickly, this is the card for you.

I would never have thought to put Rich Razzleberry with Grapefruit Grove but seeing them together in the Share What You Love Specaility DSP they really work. Thats why I love Stampin’ Up’s DSP whenever you’re stuck for a colour combination to work with just go and pull out some paper and you’ll soon find a great combination.

The flower on this card comes from another sheet of paper in this pack and was just fussy cut out and added with a Stampin’ Dimensional, I think it’s the perfect embellishment to finish this quick card.
