Southern Serenade Birthday Card

After spending the last couple of weeks colouring nearly every project with my Stampin’ Blends I thought it was time to pull out my Stampin’ Markers as I can’t actually remember the last time I used them.

I wanted to make a quick birthday card using the Southern Serenade stamp set which has that lovely floral image just begging for some ink. I chose a colour combination of Mint Macaron and Fresh Fig for my flowers with a hint of Powder Pink in the background.

The stitched rectangle was created with the largest of the Stitched Shape Framelits squares, to make a rectangle you need to hang one edge of the Framelit over the cutting pads while you run through the Bigshot so it doesn’t cut and then turn round and hang the cut part of the square over the edge. Take a look here for more details on how to do this.

The sentiment was stamped on a label from the Label Me Pretty stamp set, it wasn’t meant to be on an angle but actually I really like how it looks.

Rich Razzleberry Floral Friendship Card with Blended Seasons

If you’ve followed my blog for a while it will be no surprise to you that the first image I wanted to stamp with out of the new Blended seasons stamp set was that gorgeous large floral image. Anyone know what flower it is because I don’t recognise it?

I chose a classic colour combination of Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive as I wanted to use the Stampin’ Blends and I haven’t order the new colours yet (they’re on their way).

Adding a layer of Light Pool Party all around the stamped image really helps it to pop off the page. I added a few pearls to the centres of the flowers to add some subtle extra detail.

I decorated the inside of the card with an extra coloured flower but kept it sentiment free so I can write my own message.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this first look at the Blended Seasons stamp set, pop back soon for more ideas with this set.

Share What You Love Suite and Grapefruit Grove

For today’s card I’m showcasing products from the Share What You Love Suite in Grapefruit Grove, one of our new 2018-2020 In-Colours. As regular readers will know I’m not a huge fan of the orange/peach shades in our collection but Grapefruit Grove is lovely and currently my favourite of the new in-colours.

Most of these products come from the Gotta Have It All bundle, which I highly recommend anyone purchasing as this suite of products is just stunning in real-life.

I added a circle from the Stitched Shape Framelits as a base for my stamping. The leaves are done in second generation ink so you can see how lovely a lighter shade of this colour is. The doily was one of the new pearlescent ones turned over and inked with Grapefruit Grove, I think this gives the card a real pop.  The beautiful Artisan Pearls add the perfect finishing touch, I can see myself going through many packets of these.

Here’s a close-up of the card, I wish the photo showed the beautiful pearly shimmer on those fussy cut flowers.  Hope you enjoyed today’s project.

Floral Friday: Goodbye Tranquil Tulips

Today for my Floral Friday feature I’m saying goodbye to the set Tranquil Tulips, this has been my favourite host stamp set from the 2017 – 2018 Annual catalogue as tulips are one of my favourite flowers. I’m still waiting for mine to appear in my garden but in the meantime I’ve enjoyed making these two cards:

berry burst tranquil tulips

This first card uses shades of Berry Burst and Old Olive. The first layer was done with second generation ink from the Berry Burst. A simple greeting from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and some background paper from the Color Theory DSP Stack finish off the front of  this simple card.

On the inside I added another stamped tulip and a matching strip of paper just  to add an extra touch.

dapper denim tranquil tulips

For the blue version I used Dapper Denim and Old Olive and stamped on the crackle glaze paper. To add some extra dimension to this card I stamped the second layer of the tulip petals on a separate piece of paper and layered them up with Dimensional’s. The greeting and label image on this card come from the Rose Wonder stamp set another of my favourites which is retiring.

Hope you enjoyed todays project.

Simple Thank You Car with the Share What You Love Suite

I’m loving playing with the Share What You Love Suite of products which is currently available as three bundles. This card features products from the biggest bundle the Gotta Have It All Bundle which includes my newest favourite paper pack the Share What You Love Speciality Paper. Here’s a look at my card:

Share What You Love gotta have it all bundle

The beautiful paper doesn’t need much adding to it to make a great card so I just stamped a simple panel with the largest floral stamp from the Love What You Do stamp set in Rich Razzleberry. I added a little texture to the card with the new Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon which is so soft to touch.

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project.
