Tis the Season for Santa Christmas Card

With the countdown on and the big day only a month away it seemed fitting to share a project featuring Santa himself today.

This cute card combines products from the Night Before Christmas suite and a background created with the Winter Knit 3D Embossing folder.

Colouring with the stampin’ Blends has brought Santa to life and few of the Snowflake Sequins has added a little sparkle to this festive card.

A Holiday Hello From #Elfie

I’ve pulled out my Stampin’ Blends for today’s card and coloured the largest image from the #Elfie stamp set. This is one of those images which can fill a whole card front so you really don’t need much else.

I’ve used a little bit of the Wrapped In Plaid DSP as a background which I also used as a basis for my main colour scheme of Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce and Night of Navy.

I’m spending the afternoon curled up by my fire watching Christmas movies and colouring more elves. Hope you have chance to have some crafty time this weekend.

Tailored Tag Patchwork Background Christmas Card

I’ve wanted to make a card with a patchwork background created with the Tailored Tag punch ever since I bought which was, a long time ago. Finally I’ve pulled out the Christmastime Is Here Speciality DSP and created this christmas card.

I used 18 punch out tags in four different designs, but you can use any number of patterns you like, just try not to put the same patterns next to each other when you form your patchwork. I adhered these by using Liquid Glue on the card base.

I added a little swirl of the Gold Shimmer Ribbon to add some interest and then placed the large label from the Roses dies over the top with the greeting stamped in Cherry Cobbler. I finished with some of my favourite Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

The Christmastime Is Her suite is only available until the end of the month so if you still thinking about purchasing these products you only have a few days left, I’m just debating how many extra packets of Gold Glitter Enamel Dots I should order.

Gold Christmas Bells Card

For todays project I’ve mixed elemtns from the Christmastime Is Here suite with the Bells Are Ringing bundle. This is one bundle which I think has been overlooked by many as the Autumn/Winter catalogue is packed with great things, which is a shame as its a great bundle and one which is very versatile.

Firstly I made the bells by cutting two of the outline dies out of Gold Foil and the cut two of the detailed dies out of Gold Glimmer paper. I used some mulit purpose adhesive sheets from a previous catalogue, to stick the glimmer bells onto the foil if you dont have these then i light touch of the Fine-tip glue would work the same.

I then die cut a bow from the same bundle out of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and a label for my greeting in Whisper White from the Wild Rose dies.

I added a strip of the Gold Shimmer Ribbon across the background paper, both from the Christmastime Is Here suite. I added the “Merry Christmas” greeting to the Wild Rose Label and then added the gold bells.  As a finishing touch I added some of my favourite embellishments, the Gold Glimmer Enamels Dots, perhaps a few too many but hey its Christmas!

Silver Tree Card Trio

Yesterday’s card was a simple one layer of stamping, in contrast today I’ve used many techiniques on this little card trio.

Firstly I cut made my 3″ square card blanks and cut the first layers matts in Seaside Spray, Mint Macaron and Rococo Rose to 2 7/8″ sqaures. I then cut three sqaures of Fluid 100 watercolour card to 2 5/8″ squares.

I then coloured a watercolour wash on each watercolour card layer using each of my three colours of ink and an Aqua Painter. I don’t have the reinkers for these three colours so just ran my aqua painter along the inkpad edge to pick up some ink.

While my watercolour washes were drying I stamped three trees from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set onto vellum with Versamark ink. I then heat embossed these with Silver Embossing powder and punched them out using the Pine Tree Punch.

Rococo Rose & Silver Tree Card

For a greeting a stamped Christmas Cheer from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and punched them out with the Classic Label Punch. I adhered the trees to each card using Mine Glue Dots and then used Tear & Tape to attached my greeting labels.

To finish the cards I added some Silver Foil stars punch from the Twinkle Builder Punch.

I love how these turned out and as there small they will work as either Christmas cards or gift tags.
