Floral Card with Birthday Jubilee

The Birthday Jubilee bundle from the Jan/June Mini Catalogue is probably the thing I wish was carrying over the most. I love the intricate dies in this bundle and the whimisical feel of the stamp and have not finishing playing with them both yet, so this ones definatley a keeper for me.

For this project I made a gatefold card by cutting a piece of card to 28 cm x 10.5cm. Taking the long side of the card score at 7cm and 21cm and then fold these two sections inwards to create your gates. I then cut two panels of Soft Sea Foam measuring 6.5cm x 10cm and adhered then to each gate on the front of my card.

Next I cut the intricate floral dies from the Jubilee Beauty dies out of Highland Heather with some adhesieve sheet to help it stick to my card front ( these are back in the new catalogue, yay!!).

I then cut the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies out of Whisper White and the largest scalloped die from the Layering Ovals Dies out of Highland Heather, these are currently sold out but will be back in the new catalogue. I stamped my greeting in Highland Heather before sticking the two ovals together. I put liquid glue on one half on my oval and adhered it to the left side of the card front, leaving the other side glue free so you can open the card.

The final step was to add the floral elements. These were stamped in Tuxedo Memento ink and coloured with Soft Sea Foam, Highland Heather and Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends. I adhered one to each side of my card. The floral elemnt on the right side of the card is only attached with two Stampin’ Dimensionals at the top and bottom so you can tuck the oval underneath to close the card if you wish.

For a little finishing touch I added some Purple Posy Faceted Gems to the centres of the flowers, alternatively you could use the Pearl or Rhinestone Basic Jewels and colour them with Stampin’ Blends.

Floral Friday: Pop of Petals Floral Trio Card

It’s Friday so it’s time for my weekly dose of floral stamping, today I’ve pulled out the Pop of Petals stamp set which hasn’t seen much ink recently. For today’s project I’ve used Petal Pink, Old Olive and Terracotta Tile, a colour I’ve not used much.

To create the flowers I pulled out my Stampin’ Markers in Petal Pink and Terracotta Tile. I coloured the centre of stamp with Petal Pink and the outer petals with Terracotta Tile to give a lovely two-tone flower when stamped. I stamped and punched out three of these. I then stamped and cut out six of the rose type leaves in Old Olive.

I ran the Whisper White layer through the Subtle Embossing Folder to add some texture, sadly this doesn’t show up on my photos. I mounted this on a background layer of Terracotta Tile and ran a strip of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon across the middle.

I stamped my sentiment from the Stitched All Around stamp set onto a Whisper White die cut from the stitched Labels Dies. I then arranged the flowers around the sentiment and added the leaves. For a final finishing touch I added Frosted Epoxy Droplets, coloured in Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends, to the centre of each flower.

Have you pulled out the Pop of Petals stamp set recently, I’d love to know what you made.

Bermuda Bay Bonanza Birthday Card

Today I’m sharing this bright and cheery birthday card made with the Bonanza Buddies stamp and die bundle and the matching Birthday Bonanza Designer Paper. I love the cute little characters these stamps and dies create, perfect for any kids birthday big or small.

I’ve used Bermuda Bay as my card base as I think its highlights how bright and fun the birthday parcel ppaer is from the Birthday Bonanza DSP. I added a little of ther Ruched Daffodil Delight Ribbon across my DSP before adhering to the card to add a little texture.

The Koala and Lion were stamped and then die cut. I love how  the lions mane and tail end are on one stamp and die set so they line up perfectly. The Koala was stamped in Gray Granite and the Lion in Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody. The die cut balloons were stamped in Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay and Terracotta Tile.

To decorate the inside I added a row of Terracotta Tile birthday presents along the bottom of the card.

For this card I stuck to the colour scheme which matched the DSP but you could use any of our colours to make wonderful birthday cards.

Purple Posy Floral Birthday Card

Purple Posy is not  a colour I’ve reached for much as we don’t have the inkpad but today I thought I use it in the Stampin’ Blends today to colour in this lovely floral birthday cake from the Happy Birthday To You stamp set. This is one of the current sets available free with a qualifing order of £45.00 until the end of Sale-A-Bration on March 31st.

This image makes a great focal point for cards and with the matching die from the Birthday Dies set its easy to cut out too. I’ve coloured the main flowers with Purple Posy, the little berries with Rococo Rose and the leaves with Mint Macaron and I’ve used Crumb Cake to colour the cake stand.

For the background I ran some Whisper White cardstock through the Stone 3D Embossing Folder to add some subtle texture. I added a strip of Purple Posy In- Colour Designer paper to the bottom half of the textured cardstock and then added a stip of the 1/4″ Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon, before adhering it all to a Mint Macaron layer and then the card base.

To finish the card I added a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set, stamped in Highland Heather onto a die cut scalloped label from the Sending Flowers Dies. I then added another scalloped label in Mint Macaron cut in half behind the sentiment to help it stand out.  I finished the card by adding my coloured and die cut floral cake to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Perfect birthday card for any female in your life.

#Simple Stamping – Male Themed Cards With Over the Moon

For today’s cards I’m going back to basics and just using paper, ink and stamps, okay and a few Stampin’ Blends to create these cute male themed birthday cards with the Over the Moon stamp set and the Country Club Designer Paper.

As these stamps are of cows I’ve often gone down a more female route for cards but today they are getting a male treatment as I need some birthday cards for my farmer friends.

Simple Stamping Over the Moon card 2

I’ve used the Country Club Designer Paper with the colours Garden Green and Night of Navy to create these simple matted and layered cards.

Simple Stamping - Over the Moon Card 1

The cows are coloured with the light versions of Stampin’ Blends in Petal Pink, Crumb Cake and Basic Black with a hint of Ivory for the noses.  The Happy Birthday sentiment comes from Itty Bitty Birthday, which has the perfect font for male cards.
