Birthday Card with Hand-Delivered

Today its my birthday and I’m celebrating with a day at the seaside. This card is one I’d like to receive myself and I’m really pleased how well the colouring turned out using the Stampin’ Blends.

The Hand-Delivered hostess stamp set is probably my favourite from this years selection. With cute images you can make cards for a variety of occasions and when you add in the colouring options available the combinations are endless.

To be honest I wasn’t sure where to start when colouring the balloons to make them look realistic, so I copied the shading from the image in the catalogue and just changed the colours to ones I liked.

The highlights on the balloons was created using the Colour Lifter and I love how its made a translucent effect. I think my balloons turned out okay for a first attempt, what do you think?

Best Bunny Birthday Cards

Today I’m sharing two cards I’ve made using the Best Bunny Bundle. This wasn’t a set which was top of my list but I earnt it free with my credits from Sal-A-Bration and now I’ve used it I love it, that bunny is just so cute!

I chose to combine it with the Twinkle Twinkle DSP which has some lovely subtle patterns which I can see being very versatile. For these cards I chose the star print as wanted to make some birthday cards for younger children. I chose colour combinations of Petal Pink with Soft Seafoam and Night of Navy with Pool Party.

The bunny is sitting on one of the line stamps from Swirly Frames as I didn’t notice the little grass stamp in the Best Bunny set until I was gluing the bunny onto the card. Some of the Twinkle Adhesive Backed Sequins add a little shimmer to the card and match perfectly as the change colour as different light catches them.

So if you’re not sure about this set give it a go, it makes lovely cards and making us the little bunnies is so much fun.

Bright and Cheery Birthday Card with Picture Perfect Birthday

For today’s card I used probably the brightest suite of products which are currently in the catalogue.  I think you can’t really go wrong with these products and any card made using them will brighten the recipients day. Here’s what I came up with:

Lemon Linme twist Happiest of birthdays to you

I love the combination of Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst together and think this card could work for males or females as its not overly feminine. The party blower stamps are really cleverly designed as the images all interlock making stamping a straight image super simple.

Magical Day Mermaid Birthday Card

Today I’m featuring the Magical Day stamp set out of the Spring/Summer catalogue, I love this set and was really hoping this would not be retiring, sadly it is so if you haven’t yet added it to your collection I highly recommend it.

I chose the little mermaid stamp as my focus as I wanted to use the bubble paper from the Myths and Magic Speciality DSP and the Glitter Epoxy Shapes. Here’s my card:

And here’s a close up of the mermaid:

Beautiful Butterfly Birthday Card

For today’s card I pulled out two of my favourite stamp sets from the annual catalogue Butterfly Basics and Touches of Texture which I think sometimes get neglected at this time of year when we have a new catalogue full of goodies to play with. Touches of Texture is one of our more expensive sets so its perfect one to add to your starter kit as one of the two extra stamp sets you get for Sale-A-Bration.

I wanted a vintage feeling card so went with a colour scheme of Crumb cake, Blushing Bride, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.

One of my favourite stamps from these two sets is the big splotch stamp from Touches of Texture, its a great one for creating a quick stamped background.

To finish the card I added  the smaller detailed butterfly from the Butterflies Thinlits die set.

Here’s a look at the inside, where I have just added a little fern detail to one corner.
