Painted Seasons Birthday Card

I wanted to share with you another card I’ve made with the Painted Seasons stamp set and matching framelits as this sets will no longer be available after Sunday as March 31st signals the end of this year’s Sale-A-Bration

I chose to use Gorgeous Grape as despite being a purple I haven’t really warmed to this colour yet, I think its because its more on the blue blue side of purple. It’s quite a bright colour when you see a full sheet of cardstock so I’ve toned it done by adding a vellum layer. The fancy edge at the bottom is cut using the Delicate Lace Egelits Dies which I think really adds a wow to this card.

The greeting comes from the More Than Word stamp set which has sentiments to co-ordinate with many of our Sale-A-Bration sets, this will also be gone after Sunday ao grab it while you can as it has a lovely mix of fonts. I stamped the greeting on a frame from the Stitched Label Framelits as I thought the edge work well with the lacy die.

To finish the card I added some leaves and one of those gorgeous flowers from the Painted Leaves stamp set, every time I stamp this flower I’m amazed by how much detail there is in just one stamp, its stunning!!

Let It Ride Encouragement Card

Any horse fan is sure to love the Let It Ride stamp set, I love the realistic artwork in this set and it can be brought to life easily with the Stampin’ Blends. For this card I’ve stuck to a monochromatic colour scheme using Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla with a hint of Old Old.

To add a bit of texture to the card I ripped the edges of a strip of Soft Suede and then ran it through the Bigshot in the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, I think this gives a real rustic feel to the card.

Let it Ride Encouragement

For a final embellishment I added a strip of the Braided Linen Trim  which has carried over from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue.

Here’s a look at the inside.  I really like all the sentiments in this set as they are perfect for all kinds of encouragement and support, something we could al use from time to time.

Country Floral Birthday Card

With the Annual Catalogue entering its last few weeks its time to start saying goodbye to some products, while the offical retiring list won’t be released just yet we know we’ll be saying goodbye to the 2017-2019 In-Colours. This makes me very sad this year as this collection has been my very favourite In-Colour collection so fingers crossed Stampin’ Up! are bringing us an even better collection to replace them.

My three favourites of this collection were Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig and Powder Pink so today’s card features all three  and highlights how well they work together.

For the background of the card I used the Coutnry Floral Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder with Whisper White,  I cut this into three panels measuring 4cm x 9cm and mounted these onto panels of TRaquil Tide measuring 4.5cm x 9.5cm.  The happy birthday greeting comes from the Perennial Birthday stamp set and I added a flower and leaves from the Painted Seasons Sale-A-Bration set and cut them out with the co-ordinating Four seasons Framlits.

Which of the 2011-2019 In-Colours are you going to miss the most and what are you hoping to see in the new collection, I’d love to know?

Home to Roost Card with a Crazy Colour Combination

For today’s card I challenged myself to use some products which are not my favourites. As a starting point I pulled out some So Saffron cardstock, a colour I very very rarely use. This made me think of straw so I pulled out the Home to Roost stamp set from this year’s Sale-A-Bration selection and also the Garden Impressions 6 x 6 DSP stack which I find a little busy with so many colours included.

Here’s what I came up with and actually I quite like it, whowould have thought So Saffron, Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay would work together.

Just a touch of Bermuda Bay has really brought this card to life don’t you think?

Get Well Soon Card with Healing Hugs

I’m sharing a get well card today which is something I don’t make enough of. For this card I’ve pulled out the Healing Hugs stamp set because I love that beautiful rose image and the best thing is you can get all that detail with just one impression.

Taking inspiration from the Tea Room Speciality paper I chose a colour scheme of Calypso Coral and Rich Razzleberry with just a hint of Pear Pizzazz. You wouldn’t expect these two colours to work but I love them together.

The Rich Razzleberry background layer is the lattice die from the Rose Trellis Framelits. I love this die and if you do too I suggest you order it very soon as when our current supply of this Framelit set have run out it won’t be replaced.
