Eggs and Chicks Easter Card

Happy Easter everyone, hope you get to celebrate with your families in some way. Can you guess the inspiration for this card? Thats right Mini Eggs, I’m a huge fan of these and would eat them year round if I could find them. At least now with the Chick Dies I can create my own card versions whenever I want.

The chickens and egg come from both the Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick sets, I’m loving the endless combinations of scenes you can make with these characters and highly recommend you pick them up if your a chicken lover.

The greeting comes from the Timeless Tulips stamp set and I’ve used one of the flower stalks as a post for my greeting signpost. The actual sign is made from the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.

Can you guess how many eggs are on the card?

Answer: 59, as the die cuts two eggs at a time thats 30 trips through the Cut and Emboss machine, worth it though dont you think!

Rococo Rose Tasteful Touches Flower Card

Rococo Rose cardstock may have already sold out but Fliry Flamingo could be a good alternative if you want to case this card. I’ve used the Tasteful Touches stamp set and die set and gone for a vintage type card today.

The background paper come from the In Good Taste DSP pack and this is one of my favourite sheets in the pack as I love the look of this woven cotton fabric effect, perfect for that vintage feel.

I’ve stamped the flower twice to layer it up and give a 3D effect. I’ve brushed over it with Wink of Steller to give the flower a lovely glittery touch.

I’ve added a few stamped Pear Pizzazz springs to the background paper to add some grounding to my flower and greeting.

Magenta Madness Ice Cream Scoop Card

We’ve just had two days of glorious sunshine here in the UK which made me think ice creams outside might be a possibility over the Easter weekend. Sadly this is England so sunny periods are short lived and we’re back to wooly jumpers and cocoa beside the fire.

Anyway thought I’d still share this bright cheery ice-cream card and we can all keep our fingers crossed the sunshine makes an appearance again soon. I chose to Magenta Madness as my background colour as I think its the brightness most fun colour we have. I’ve paired that with Early Espresso and Mint Macaron to emphasize the ice-cream theme.

I used the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set to stamp my ice cream scoops and cone and the matching Ice cream Builder Punch to punch out. Then simply build your ice cream however you want, mines got Chocolate, Stawberry and Mint with Chocolate Sprinkles!

The greeting was stamped on spare cardstock in Early Espresso and fussy cut out, I’m new to fussy cutting words so I’m not 100% happy with the result but practise makes perfect. A few Magenta Madness Enamel Dots finish off the card.

Pastel Prettiest of Birthdays Card

It’s the pastel shades of Soft Sea Foam and Flirty Flamingo for today’s card made with the Prettiest of Birthdays stamp and die set. From banners and balloons to cake and flowers this set has a whole host of images suitable for the prettiest of birthday cards.

I’ve just used the cake image today to create this soft feminine birthday card. The background is created with a layer of Soft Sea Foam which has been run through the Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I’ve then used one of the Square Vellum Dolies coloured Flirty Flamingo by using the new Blending Brushes from our current Mini catalogue.

I’ve added the cake image, cut the stand part off as it didn’t look quite right. I’ve fussy cut some extra flowers from the cake image to balance my card out across the sentiment label.

Simple Encouragement Card with Tasteful Touches

Today I’m sharing a simple card made with the Tasteful Touches stamp set, Tasteful Labels dies and the In Good Taste DSP. I’m glad this paper is carrying over as its full of really useful designs for backgrounds or elements as I’ve used here. It’s also got twenty sheets in the pack so I have plenty left to use up.

The Tasteful Touches stamp set it one which can appeal to everybody, to I’ve paired it with Night of Navy and a touch of Seaside Spray for a masculine feel.

I cut out four of the large circles from the paper and two from cardstock to stamp a greeting and extra pattern. Then simply overlapped them down one side of the card. The circle with the greeting on is stuck down with Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise it up slightly.

I then finished the card with three Night of Night Rhinestones from the Holiday collection.

This card is for my son as he’s been working really hard on his maths and swimming since going back to school and I wanted him to know how proud we are of him.
