Little Stockings Card with A Merry Hello

How cute is this little row of stockings? I love them all hanging in a little row. These cute little stockings can be found in the A Merry Hello stamp set, which is one you might have overlooked in the catalogue as its a hostess set right at the back on page 81. This means its only available with orders over £150 and one I had to pick up as I’m a sucker for stockings!

The focal point of the card is the cute little stockings stamped on a whisper White Oval cut from the Layering Ovals Dies. The stamp only has three stockings on but as its photopolymer its very easy to line up and if you add the pine boughs as I did you won’t see the line anyway.

The stockings were coloured with Stampin’ Blends in Old Olive, Pretty Peacock and Balmy Blue and then my image was mounted onto a Scalloped Oval cut from the copper sheet from the Brushed Metallics Cardstock pack. The sentiment was also stamped and mounted on smaller oval dies.

The background paper comes from the Brighlty Gleaming Speciality DSP which you may remember from last year, it was so popular that Stampin’ Up! brought it back. This is great for me as it means I can buy a few more packets of this as I adore it. Pretty Peacock and Copper are a winning combination.

To finish the card off I added some of the Copper 1/8″ Ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack. I love how this ribbon has held it shape when I’ve adhered it to the card with glue dots as it has a nice weight to it.

Take a look at page 81 in the August/December Mini Catalogue and see if A Merry Hello is one you need to add to your collection.

Happy Crafting
