Last Christmas the Christmas Pines stamp set and matching die set was one of my favourite things from the Autumn/Winter catalogue and I was so happy it made it into our annual catalogue as its such a great set. Today I’ve pulled it out and made a very traditional looking card with a Real Red and Emerald envy colour scheme.
The addition of the multipurpose adhesive sheets has made building those pines cones so much easy than last year when I used the fine tip glue pen. I’ve now a whole bunch of ready made pines already to stick on projects.
I love how using some second generation stamping on the pine boughs I’ve given the card some extra depth. Of course I don’t think you can have a traditional Christmas card without a little bit of gold, so I embossed the greeting in the bottom corner and it turned out beautifully.
I felt my card was lacking a little something so I created a background using Crumb Cake ink and the tiny two dot stamp randomly stamped all over…does anyone know what this little dot stamp is supposed to be as I can’t figure it out?
