This week I’m working with the Hearts Come Home bundle which was one of the sets on my first order from this years Autumn/ Winter catalogue. Who can resist those cute little house dies and the Santa in his sleigh with his reindeers is a winner for me. For today’s card I focused more on this dies in this set as I was desperate to have a play with them.
The photos of this card don’t show the beautiful sparkle and shine from using the Copper Foil and the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper. I ran the die through the Bigshot three times with the glimmer paper as its harder to cut evenly. After all the windows and extra were poked out, I used a metal skewer I added some copper foil behind to look like the glow from the lights which would be one in the little houses.
My card base was made from Night of Navy cardstock and measures 14.5cm x 10.5cm, which is a little too long for these dies. Luckily they are edgelit dies so the bottom edge is not cut meaning I could just cut and extra bit of snowy hillside.
The background is cut from the Naturally Eclectic DSP and the greeting was embossed with Copper embossing powder. Inside the card I just added a layer of Whisper White and a greeting and little house stamped in Night of Navy.
