First Birthday Card with A Little Foxy Suite

Today I’ve been playing with the A Little Foxy Suite of products which includes the Foxy Friends stamp set, the Fox Builder Punch, the A Little Foxy designer series paper and the Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon. Sadly the paper and ribbon were on the retirement list and have already sold out but you could easily substitute with other products which you have.

I made a cute and very simple first birthday card for a little boy using the colour scheme of Pool Party, Smoky Slate and Calypso Coral. I’m not really a fan of Calypso Coral but it is the perfect fox colour.

The little fox was created by stamping three different sections the head, the body and the tail, punching them out and then layering them together. Super simple and you have a cute little foxy in no time and if your feeling adventurous other animals can easily be made too.

The number comes from the Large Numbers Framelits and was layered with ovals from the Stitched Shape Framelits and the Layering Ovals, probably made favourite combination of Framelits to use.

The card was finished off with a greeting from the Number of Years stamps set and the lovely Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon which I was I used more as its added a lovely finishing touch to this card.

I’d love to know what animals you.ve created with the Foxy Friends Bundle of products.

Spring Coloured card with Falling for You

Today’s card was originally created as part of a colour challenge on a blog, sadly I only wrote down the colours and not the blog details so can’t enter properly. The colours for the challenge were Pear Pizzazz, Wisteria Wonder and So Saffron, if anyone knows what blog challenge this was from please leave me a comment below. So here’s my spring looking card:

Sadly the stamp set Falling for You which I used here has not made it into our next Annual catalogue and is on the retiring list. At the time of writing this its still available so if you want it, don’t wait as its a great stamp set.

I was going for a simple look with this card but think the Wisteria Wonder strips at the bottom would maybe have been better only going a little way across the card. I wanted somewhere to anchor my greeting panel too but think its given the card a harsh look, what do you think?

Anyway hopefully I will have time to play with this set again before its completely gone.

Floral Friday: Copper Crazy Card

Today I have embraced all things copper, mainly because I need to start using up things before the new catalogue arrives and that means cutting into the most beautiful paper I’ve seen from Stampin’ Up! Yes you’ve guessed it the stunning sheet of copper foiled floral Kraft cardstock in the Affectionately Yours Specialty DSP.

The photo really doesn’t do it justice, I’m thinking I might order another pack of this paper just for this sheet alone. Anyway onto my card:

I adore how this turned out, I think its one of my favourite cards I’ve made in a while. The flowers were stamped in Versamark onto Crumb Cake cardstock and heat embossed with the Copper Embossing Powder, I wish the camera picked up how super shiny this card is.

I fussy cut the flowers out and finished them off with pearls in the centres, to add a little softness I added some loops behind the flowers in the Copper Metallic Thread. The sentiment comes from One Big Meaning and was stamped and embossed onto the Stitched Shape and Layering Oval Framelit sets.

Have you got a favourite paper from the current catalogue which you have been hoarding? Are you going to use it before June when we get the new catalogue? I’d love to know what your favourites are?

Floral Friday: Sweet Sugarplum Flowers using Botanical Builder Framelits

Today’s card was inspired from the leftovers of when I made my mum’s 60th birthday card a couple of weeks ago. I love how leftovers from one project can flow straight onto the next project, that’s probably why I’m very bad at tidying my desk up.

The background paper comes from the Succulent Garden ds which is one of my favourite packs this year, probably because it has Mint Macaron and Sweet sugarplum in it.  All the flowers and leaves were created using whisper white cardstock and cut from the Botanical Builders Framelits. To make them look a little softer I inked the edges with Sweet Sugarplum ink and the stamping sponges. To make the sponges go further I always cut them into quarters before use so I can have four colours from one sponge.

The greetings panel was created exactly the same as my card from Monday using the Stitched Shape Framelits and the Layering Circles Framelits over the top of a doily. The sentiment is from the Butterfly Basics stamps set which is one where I should use more than just the lovely sentiment stamps.

The lace doilies from the Spring/Summer catalogue and the Sweet Sugarplum enamel shapes in the flower centres just add a bit of embellishment.

Happy 10th Anniversary Card

This year one of my best friends is celebrating her 10th wedding anniversary so I wanted to make her a special card, the Milestone Moments stamps from the Spring/Summer Catalogue is perfect for this kind of occasion.

I chose Pink Pirouette for the card base and embossed the front half of the card using the beautiful Falling Petals Textured Impressing Embossing Folder, don’t the petals look like tiny little love hearts?

To create a focal point for the card I took one of the Lace Doilies from the Spring/Summer catalogue, I love these because one side is Very Vanilla and the other side is Whisper White which makes them super versatile. I chose the Very Vanilla side to complement the Satin Ribbon that I used for the bow.

I die cut a circle from the Layering Circles Framelits and the Stitched Shape Framelits in Very Vanilla and Pink Pirouette. The greeting taken from the Milestone Moments stamp set was stamped in Soft Suede.

I think this is lovely simple card and I hope my friend and her husband like it.
