Forever Lovely Birthday Card

Today I’m starting a week long show case of the All My Love Suite from the new Spring/Summer catalogue. These products are perfectly suited for all your Valentine’s and romance projects but today I’m showing how you can use them to make a gorgeous birthday card.

For the main focus of the card I stamped three of the gorgeous rose flowers in Lovely Lipstick. What I love about this stamp set is that is it part of our Distinctive range, meaning all that detail on the stamped image came from one impression of one stamp, making it even simpler to get gorgeous detail.

For some additional detail I used the Tufted Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder for the background layer and added a strip of the Lovely Lipstick Stitched Edge Ribbon for some added texture.

I love how this card came out and can’t wait to show you more lovely products with this gorgeous suite. So I hope you can join me again tomorrow.

Pootlers Team Blog Hop – Spring/Summer Catalogue

Today I’m taking part in the Pootler’s team blog hop showcasing our favourite products from the new Spring Summer catalogue. There’s a lot to love in this catalogue and it was hard to decide what to share with you today. I decided on my favourite bundle Butterfly Gala, which contains a great stamp set and the best butterfly fly punch I think Stampin’ Up! has come out with, with two gorgeous butterflies. I’ve paired this bundle with the new Crackle Paint background, which has brought back many happy memories of playing with crackle paint as a kid, so I’m glad we now have the same effect but much quicker.

The first card I made was in Highland Heather, a colour I haven’t used much but has created a lovely soft card.

For the next card I brightened it up by using Lovely Lipstick, this was my favourite card for highlighting how good the Crackle Paint background is.

For my final card I used Flirty Flamingo just so I could add some of the lovely new 1/8″ sheer Flirty Flamingo ribbon from the All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack, which I adds a lovely soft feeling to the card.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my cards today and I’d love it if you would visit some of my fellow teammates and see their wonderful creations with the new products. Simply click the blue button below and follow the links to each blog.

Enjoy and I’ll see you next time.

Merry Mistletoe Christmas Card with Buffalo Check

Today’s project has been brewing in my head ever since I saw the Buffalo Check stamp, its pattern is very similar to one in the Under the Mistletoe DSP pack, so I decided to use it as a background for this simple Mistletoe card.

The Mistletoe Season stamp set is the perfect one for beginners and avid crafters alike to use as there are so many gorgeous combinations you can come up with. I’ve used the two mistletoe sprigs for the main focal point of this card. These are two-step stamps with a difference, they don’t completely line up, making them a great starting point for beginners.

I stamped my outline mistletoe in Pear Pizzazz and then took the filler stamp, inked with Pear Pizzazz again but stamped off on scrap paper before stamping on my image. I love how the two-tone image gives the card some depth.

A simple bow stamped in Real Red finishes off the main image. As mentioned above my background was created with the Buffalo Check stamp again with Pear Pizzazz. The Merry Christmas greeting in the bottom corner adds a greeting. To finish the card I added three clusters of the white enamel dots in the Santa’s Workshop Enamel Shapes to perfectly replicate mistletoe berries.  A simple card which is quick and easy to replicate for those last minute cards you need to make.

Champagne Shimmer Snowflake Card

The pictures of today’s project don’t really do it justice as you can’t appreciate the gorgeous shimmer of the Champagne Foil layer and the stamping is done with Champagne Frost Shimmer paint.

Stamping with the Shimmer Paint is easy, just shake your bottle well then pour a little paint out onto a clear block and use  a stamping sponge or a sponge dauber to apply to your stamp and then stamp. The images I’ve gotten haven’t been as crisp as they are with our normal inks but I love the effect they create. I used very detailed stamps on this project, a better result might be gained from more solid images.

The combination of Night of Navy gives these cards a very majestic feel which I think is perfect for Christmas cards.  Have you had a go with stamping with the Shimmer Paint? If not I suggest you do as I love the shimmery effect it creates.

Stocking Christmas Card with Hung with Care

Have you checked out the Hostess sets in the Autumn/Winter catalogue yet, I feel these often get overlooked as they are right at the back of the catalogue. This year we have two lovely offerings, my favourite being Hung With Care which features a collection of gorgeous stockings ready to hang up and wait for Santa to fill with goodies. If you want this set then simply place an order of £150.00 or more and choose this as part of  your Stampin’ Rewards.

I’ve kept today’s card fairly simple so you can see just how cute these little stockings are. I coloured them with our Stampin’ Markers in the colours Merry Merlot, Shaded Spruce and Crumb Cake and then fussy cut them out.

I added a little sparkle to the card with two thin strips of the Merry Merlot Glimmer Paper from the Joyous Noel Suite and guess what…no glitter fell off when making this card!
