Get Well Soon Card with Healing Hugs

I’m sharing a get well card today which is something I don’t make enough of. For this card I’ve pulled out the Healing Hugs stamp set because I love that beautiful rose image and the best thing is you can get all that detail with just one impression.

Taking inspiration from the Tea Room Speciality paper I chose a colour scheme of Calypso Coral and Rich Razzleberry with just a hint of Pear Pizzazz. You wouldn’t expect these two colours to work but I love them together.

The Rich Razzleberry background layer is the lattice die from the Rose Trellis Framelits. I love this die and if you do too I suggest you order it very soon as when our current supply of this Framelit set have run out it won’t be replaced.

All Adorned Card

Today I’m sharing with you a quick card I made with the free Sale-A-Bration stamp set All Adorned. I love the simplicity of this stamp set, its perfect to work with when you just want to stamp and make pretty patterns, if like me you need this one in your collection then place a £45.00 order before the end of the month and its yours for free.

I picked a colour scheme of Soft Seafoam and Merry Merlot to work with today as these are my favourite colours from this catalogue’s colour refresh and I love how good they look together, this is the perfect combination for a male or female card and its one all definitely be using again soon.

All Adorned Card - Flat

I stamped the Soft Seafoam images first randomly all over my cardstock and then overstamped with the smaller medallion type stamp. These two stamps match up perfectly to create a lovely two-toned pattern. Simply line up the four outer dots on the smaller stamp with the circles on the larger stamp and hey presto, gorgeous background.

To help my sentiment stand out I used the Everyday Label punch and the starburst punch to create a couple of layers.

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s quick and simple project.

St. Patrick’s Day Card Duo

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, hope you all have a lucky day! I’m passing on the good luck by sharing this card duo I made with the Amazing Life stamp set and the brand new Sale-A-Bration Co-ordination Storybook Punch….gosh thats a mouthful!

Celebrating all things Irish i’m using a mix of Call Me Clover and Granny Apple Green for colouring the shamrocks from the Amazing Life stamp set. I used the Stampin’ Blends for the colouring which did take me a whole evening but it was a very relaxing one.

St Patricks Day card 1

For this first card I covered my whole background in the stamped and coloured shamrocks. I used the Good Luck greeting from Amazing Life and stamped it in Call Me Clover. I punched the greeting out with the Storybook punch and then punched out an additional shape in Call Me Clover cardstock, cut in half this makes the perfect border to lift the greeting punch. To finish this card I added three of the enamel dots from the Happiness Blooms collection.

St Patrick's Day card 2

For the second card I added a strip of the Call Me Clover polka dot paper from the 2018 – 2020 In-Colour DSP stack to the bottom of the card and seperated this from my stamping with a strip of Granny Apple Green cardstock.

Hope you’ve enjoyed todays projects and join me again tomorrow for some more Stampin’ Up! inspiration.

Floral Friday: Lasting Lily Birthday Card

Yesterday it was my Aunt’s birthday and I thought the Lasting Lily stamp set would be the perfect choice to use for her card. The Lasting Lily is one of this years Sale-A-Bration stamp sets which are free with a purchase of £45.00 or more until the end of this month. We also have a matching Framelits die set available while stocks last so you can easily cu cut out those lily’s and make some beautiful cards.

Due to the nature of the photopolymer on long thin stamps these stamps can be tricky to line up with the Framelits as they have a tendancy to bend slightly. To rectify this simply follow these simple steps in the photo below

Lasting Lily Die-Cutting Tips

I love how this card turnedout and I’d like to thank fellow demonstrator Patty Bennett for my inspiration with the colour scheme and the use of that adorable bow from the Wishing You Well stamp set, you can check out here Lasting Lily post here.

Geared Up Garage Birthday Card

Male cards are renowned for being tricky to make, particulary in my family I find as apart from working, driving or football nothing much is of interest. Thats why I love the Geared Up Garage suite of products as pretty much any male I know loves cars and driving so all the car themed mechanic images work wonderful for those tricky make birthdays.

Geared Up Garage Birthday Card -flat

By using the Classic Garage  6″ x 6″ DSP Stack this card pretty much made itself. I chose two different patterns to split the card up, the ribbon adds a line of definition between them and helped to line up my Happy Birthday sentiment perfectly. The ribbon I used was some retired Real Red Grosgrain but this could easily be swapped for the 3/8″ Cotton Ribbon in the Annual Catalogue.

Geared Up Garage Birthday card - inside

To decorate the inside of the card I added a matching sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set and added some more nuts to the corners of the card in Basic Grey.

Hope this male card has given you a starting point for using the Geared Up Garage Suite of products.
