Rainbow Blossoms Card

This card takes just a couple of minutes to make but I think it still produces quite an impact with all that glitter. All the flowers come from the Rainbow Glimmer Paper punched out with the Small Bloom Punch. I’ve just selected areas where I can get a full colour for eacg flower.

The greeting is from Happiest of birthdays, which I’ve just stamped in the centre in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I then arrange my glimmer blossoms all around the greeting.

I’ve used an Opalescent Round in the centre of each flower to add even more bling to the card.

This is the perfect card to create when you have one of those unexpected birthday party invites dropped on you unexpectedly, its quick simple and looks great.

So sad the Small Bloom Punch is leaving.

My favourite Retiring Products from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue

Now I’ve had a little time to digest whats leaving us I thought I’d share some of my favourite products so you can decide if you want them before they are gone, at the time of writing this all products were still available but I’m sure they won’t last long.

I’ve split my list into stamps, dies, punches and ribbon and embellishments.

  1. Stamps:

These are seven of my favourites that I’m actually suprised are leaving:

Beautiful World, Rooted in Nature, The Right Triangle, Basket of Blooms, Zany Zebras, Itty Bitty Birthdays and Inspiring Iris.

2. Dies

Four of my staple die collections are leaving so it looks like I’ll have to change things up a bit as there’s not been many cards I’ve made that doesn’t feature at least one of these sets:

The Layering Ovals Dies are probably my most used set of dies, so if you don’t have them this would be the number one product I would purchase from the whole retirement list.

3. Punches

We are losing are remaining circle punchesd which I know a lot of people will be sad about as they are quick an easy to stamp and punch to add a greeting. If I’m honest I haven’t used mine much in the last year. The three that I will miss are:

4. Ribbon and Embellishments:

This is a tricky one as I buy nearly all the ribbon and embellishments every year then hardly use any of them!

I’m thankful that a lot of embellishments and ribbon that I do use are carrying over, plus whats coming in the new catalogue is better than what we’re losing. Only problem I’m going to have here is I need more space to store it all!!

One final mention is we’re losing two additional Stampin’ Blends colours Rich Razzleberry and Mango Melody as well as the 2019-2021 In colours

Hope you’ve enjoyed this little look at the products leaving us that I’ve loved creating with over the last year. Remember these products are now available while stocks last so if you want them place your order as soon as you can.

If you miss them, don’t worry there is loads of amazing new products coming in the new catalogue on May 4th.

Hey Chick, Miss You Card

Today I’m sharing a card I’ve made for a special friend who I miss very much, I haven’t seen her since July last year and fingers crossed we can see each other soon!!

I’ve gone chick mad and used products from both Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick stamp sets and their matching dies and why not they all work great togther. I’ve used my favourite two chicken stamps, one from each set for my main focus.

A little blending of Balmy Blue and So Saffron created the background for my little scene. The fence die cuts come from the Birthday Chick die set.

For the grass and the little speech bubbles I pulled out the Special Day dies, which also work great for scene building.

The greeting comes from Hey, Chick and also Blossoms in Bloom where I used “Miss You” from the stamp “Sure Do Miss You” I just covered up Sure do while I inked as the whole lot wouldn’t fit in my speech bubble.

I loved making this little scene card and hope my friend does when I get it mailed out to her.

Thank You Card with Basket of Blooms

Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Magenta Madness is such a bright and cheerful combination, perfect to brighten up the dull day here in Yorkshire.

It’s easy to create the flowers with the Small Bloom Punch, simply stamp and punch and then finish off in the centre with an Enamel Dot.

The greeting from So Sentimental was stamped in Coastal Cabana on a die cut from the Stitched So Sweetly die collection. The card was finished with a length of ribbon in Coastal Cabana from the Playing with Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack.

Black Brick Butterfly Card

Black Brick Butterfly….try saying that really fast! There isnt even any black bricks on this card as they’re pink but I liked the title. Again I’ve been playing with the Brilliant Wings Dies, my new favourite product for sure. Today I’ve used the brick effect die (hence the title) to create part of my background. Ilove how you can see the mix of watercolour pinks through the bricks from the designer paper behind.

Here’s a close up of how much detail the large butterfly has, so beautiful! I’ve sat the butterfly on a Stitched Circle die in Blushing Bride and added the Happy Birthday greeting from Speacial Someone in Magenta Madness.

A few Magenta Madness Enamel Dots finish the card off, I seem to be putting these on every card I make at the moment.
