Tuesday Inspiration: Catching Butterflies

Today I’m sharing a little inspiration using the Catching Butterflies stamp set which is another free stamp available during Sale-A-Bration. This stamp set is perfect for little girls.

I’ve paired the stamped image of the girl with two dies from the Nature’s Thoughts set. I love the detail in the white matt die and those little Bermuda Bay butterflies just finish the card off perfectly.

Here are a couple my ideas using this set from the Stampin’ Up! concept ideas, these images can be found on page 6 of the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.

This simple card has used our watercolour pencils dry to colour in the girl and I love the mix of Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo for the butterflies.

I love the mix of Polished Pink and Daffodil Delight on this card to create the blended background for the butterflies. This is a combination I need to try. I also love how the Black Matt Dots really add a pop to the card.

Hope you enjoyed these ideas for using the Catching Butterflies stamp set. For more ideas keep following the blog or check out my Catching Butterflies Pintrest Board which is full of inspiration.

Positive Thoughts Card

I’ve pulled out the Positive Thoughts stamp set to work with today as I wanted to make a sympathy card, somehting I struggle with. I think all of the senitments in this set convey posite caring thoughts and I really like the sentiment  “Hugs, Prayers, Love” because if I lost someone close to me thats exactly what I’d want from other people.

Using the Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder adds a subtle background to this card which paired well with the paper from the In Good Taste DSP.

Positive Thougths Card - flat

My favourite part of this card is the tiny little die cut butterfly, I think it adds the perfect finishing touch to the card.
