I’m not someone who typically crafts for Halloween or who buys a lot a Halloween themed products, so there wont be too many original Halloween projects on this blog. Although I’ve caved this catalogue and bought the Frightfully Cute stamp set and the Cute Halloween DSP as they are very cut!
So here is one card I’ve made with these products so far:
Along with the Cute Halloween DSP and Frightfully Cute stamp I’ved added in the Picture This Dies to create the windows inthis card. I love all the cute litter critters in this paper and they work so well with the little stamps in the set.
There might be more Halloween projects from me but I’m not promising.
I’m not usually a fan of the Halloween products Stampin’ Up! brings out as I don’t celebrate this holiday and I’m not into ghosts and ghouls. I really hate spiders too but I’m actually really drawn to the Magic in This Night Suite, probably because it uses Pretty Peacock and Blackberry Bliss, two of my favourite colours.
To start with a embossed a piece of Silver Foil cardstock measuring 9.5cm x 13.9cm and then adherd this to a Basic Black matt measuring 10cm x 14.9cm. I then adhered this to my card base.
I then stamped the frame image with the Happy Halloween greeting inside along with some spiders in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto some Shimmery White cardstock. I then cut then out with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Magnetic Plate to keep the dies in place.
I then cut out an additional black frame to adhere my stamped greeting onto and the added to the card. Finally I added the spiders using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I was going to share this ard tomorrow when it actually is Halloween but as we’re pumpkin carving as a family this evening I’m in the Hallloween mood today. Plus if you do send Halloween cards its a quick last minute project you can easily put together today.
The background was created using the two pumpkin stamps from the Gather Together stamp set, I used clear block I and stamped both stamps together in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I then coloured each pumpkin in with the Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Bledns markers.
I debated for a long time whether or not to draw faces on each of the pumpkins to make it more spooky looking but in the end decided against as my drawing skills are not great, but feel free to do so it you’re casing the card.
I added a strip of the Black Satin Ribbon to the centre of the card and then stamped my greeting on a panel cut from the Ornate Frames dies. I didn’t have a Halloween themed greeting which was curent so stamped my own using the Make A Difference stamp set and the Stamparatus.
I fnal touch was to add a few Pumpkin Pie Rhinestones from the Holiday collection, these are hidden away on page 58 of the Autmn/Winter catalogue and a great additonal to any holiday themed project.
If you watched my video last week you will know I’m not a huge fan of Halloween or its associated products but there were a couple of sets in the Autumn/Winter catalogue that I just had to have and Cookie Cutter Halloween was the first, I just love these cute little characters. For my one Halloween card I mixed Cookie Cutter Halloween, Ghoulish Grunge and Mr Funny Bones and here is what I came up with Continue reading “Happy Halloween”
For today’s project I’ve made my first video to show you how to make these cute little lollipop treat holders which are perfect for Halloween Trick or Treats as they are easy to mass produce….I should know I filmed the video quite a few times before I was happy with it.
