I’ve never been much of a cycling enthausiast but this year I have been watching a little of Le Tour de France on the TV while crafting, its actually quite therapeutic. So what better stamp set to pull out than Enjoy Life with that cycling silhouette and great words for encouragement.
I went with a colour scheme of Poppy Parade, Blueberry Bushel and seaside Spray to give a french feel to the card. I wanted to add some yellow for the leaders tabard but its just didn’t work.
The two coloured frames are cut from the two largest sqaures in the Stitched Shapes die collection. I then cut two additonal large sqaures and sponged them with Seaside Spray ink before adding my silhouette stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The sentiments were stamped on the small thin rectangle from Stitched Rectangles dies, as they were a little too long for my sentments I placed one side of the rectangle back over the edge of the die to cut the recatangle smaller and leave a stitched edge.
To finish the card I stamped some of the foliage onto the card base in sEaside spray before I adhered all my other elements.
If you haven’t already why dont you give crafting while watching the cycling a go and see what you come up with.
Happy Crafting
