Simple Snowman Card

Today I’m featuring the products in the Let It Snow Suite again, focusing on the Snowman Builder Punch and the Let It Snow Embellishment Kit. I love this embellishment kit as it contains everything you need to turn a simple punched shape into a cute snowman with his own little felt hat.

For the background I simply stamped some of the snowflakes from the Snowman Season stamp set in Real Red ink on the Real Red cardstock to give a tone on tone look.

A strip of the Let It Snow Speciality DSP and a greeting stamped on the frame from the Wild Rose dies finishes the outside of the card.

Simple Snowman Card - Inside

A few snowflakes in Pool Party and a greeting in Real Red finish off the inside of the card.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this cute little project, the Let It Snow Embellishment kit is proving very popular so  if you want to have a play with it then I’d been ordering one soon.

Snowmen Card Duo

What better way to celebrate the first frosty morning of the season than with two gorgeous snowman cards. Both of these cards were very simple to make but and bright and cheery and perfect for celebrating the snowy season.

I’m drawn to the Snowmen sets every year but I think Snowman Season could easily be my favourite by Christmas. I love all the matching products in the Let It Snow Suite, especially the punch which makes snowman building so easy. Added bonus my daughter has love punching her own snowmen and giving them their own little faces so its a winner all round.

Snowman Stripes Card

I love the colour combination of the Let It Snow Speciality DSP, Real Red, Coastal Caana, Flirty Flamingo, Shaded Spruce, Blueberry Bushell, Basic Black and Whisper White make a fresh modern twist on the traditional red and green Christmas combinations.

Each of these cards features a background in these papers to highlight how yummy they are. I love all the little mittens on the card below.

Snowman Mittens Card

I little colouring with the Stampin’ Blends and a greeting from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and the card is done.

Look out for more snowmen appearing soon.

Champagne Shimmer Snowflake Card

The pictures of today’s project don’t really do it justice as you can’t appreciate the gorgeous shimmer of the Champagne Foil layer and the stamping is done with Champagne Frost Shimmer paint.

Stamping with the Shimmer Paint is easy, just shake your bottle well then pour a little paint out onto a clear block and use  a stamping sponge or a sponge dauber to apply to your stamp and then stamp. The images I’ve gotten haven’t been as crisp as they are with our normal inks but I love the effect they create. I used very detailed stamps on this project, a better result might be gained from more solid images.

The combination of Night of Navy gives these cards a very majestic feel which I think is perfect for Christmas cards.  Have you had a go with stamping with the Shimmer Paint? If not I suggest you do as I love the shimmery effect it creates.

Stocking Christmas Card with Hung with Care

Have you checked out the Hostess sets in the Autumn/Winter catalogue yet, I feel these often get overlooked as they are right at the back of the catalogue. This year we have two lovely offerings, my favourite being Hung With Care which features a collection of gorgeous stockings ready to hang up and wait for Santa to fill with goodies. If you want this set then simply place an order of £150.00 or more and choose this as part of  your Stampin’ Rewards.

I’ve kept today’s card fairly simple so you can see just how cute these little stockings are. I coloured them with our Stampin’ Markers in the colours Merry Merlot, Shaded Spruce and Crumb Cake and then fussy cut them out.

I added a little sparkle to the card with two thin strips of the Merry Merlot Glimmer Paper from the Joyous Noel Suite and guess what…no glitter fell off when making this card!

Poppy Parade Santa Christmas Card

For today’s card I’ve gone for a mainly monochromatic colour scheme using Poppy Parade, I love this colour its such a happy vibrant red and works so well as the colour for Santa’s suit.

The background was created using the Buffalo Check stamp and the greeting came from the Peaceful Poinsettia set. The big curvy sentiments were the reason I bought this set and I can’t wait to use it some more.

The cute little Santa comes from the Signs of Santa set and has been coloured with Stampin’ Blends, the Dark Mango Melody on his belt really stands out among all the Poppy Parade.

To add some extra interest I stamped a banner from Banners For You in tone on tone Poppy Parade and added this die cut behind my sentiment. I finished the card off with one of the Snowflake Trinkets which are available as part of the November Snowflake Showcase.

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it.
