Sale-A-Bration: Tasty Trucks

Tasty Trucks was the first item on my Sale-A-Bration wish-list this year. With the cute little truck and plenty of sentiments and accessories this is the perfect set to make a variety of cards.

I stamped the truck on the Shimmery White cardstock as my Watercolour Cardstock appears to have gone walkabout since Christmas. I coloured using the blender pen and the new Watercolour pencils which are just lovely to work with and available in thirteen true Stampin’ Up! colours so a must have for anyone who loves to colour.

The background paper comes from the Festive Birthday dsp pack which has a gorgeous mix of bright colours, perfect to brighten up the mood on a miserable January day. I finished off the card by layering it onto some die cut ovals which has been stamped in Melon Mambo with that adorable little cupcake.

I think Tasty Trucks is a great set to add to your collection. Plus if you picked up Glamper Greetings from the Autumn/Winter catalogue then this is the perfect accompaniment. Available free with a purchase £45.00 or more from any current catalogue. If you purchase everything I used to make this project below then the total is £92.50, meaning you can pick up Tasty Trucks and one other Sale-A-Bration item totally free!

Floral Friday – Oh So Succulent Birthday Card

succulentcard1.jpg

Today its the birthday of one of my best friends and to celebrate I made her this card, I hope she has received it before she reads this. I chose to use the new Oh So Succulent bundle  from the new Spring/Summer catalogue. The stamps and dies have a mixture of combinations which can be used to make flowers and other succulent plants along with some greetings in two lovely fonts.

I stuck to a colour combination of Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum, Calypso Coral with a hint of Tip Top Taupe to match with the co-ordinating Succulent Garden dsp. Calypso Coral is not one of my favourite colours as I’m just not an orange/peach kind of girl but in small doses I think it looks okay. Here is a close up of the flowers

I’ve added some enamel shapes just to finish the card off and keep it fairly flat  for posting. I’m looking forward to playing some more with this versatile new set.
