Sweetest Thing Lollipop Card

This week all my projects will focus of the How Sweet It Is Suite of products which are perfect for birthdays, Valentine’s and anytime you want to share something sweet with someone. For today’s project I’ve made a very simple card featuring fussy cut lollipops from the How Sweet It Is DSP.

For a little extra something to add to the card I covered both lollipops in a thin layer of glue from the Fine-Tip Glue, this dries shiny and clear so gives the effect of a sticky lollipop, its very hard to see on the photographs though.

A simple strip of Whisper White helps the greeting to stand out. This card could easily feature any of the jars featured in the stamp set if you didn’t want to fussy cut the lollipops.

Hope you can pop back tomorrow when I have another project with this suite to share with you.

Coastal Cabana Cupcake Card

Today I’m featuring a product made using one of this years Sale-A-Bration stamp sets Hello Cupcake. Sale-A-Bration is one of my favourite times of year as throughout January, February and March for every £45.00 you can choose one item from a selection of exclusive free items. Hello Cupcake is one of my favourites as its main images create these yummy looking cupcakes.

I’ve paired the stamped image with this  Coastal Cabana striped paper from the How Sweet It Is Designer Paper to create and bright and fun card.

To add a little embellishment to the card I’ve added some Powder Pink Iridescent Sequins with the help of the Fine-Tip Glue Pen and my trusty Take You Pick Tool.

I’ve also added some layers using the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies which I think are a great addition to our die range and one I can’t wait to use on many more projects soon.

Niece’s Birthday card with Piece of Cake

My project today features a birthday card for my Niece’s birthday yesterday. Hope she liked it. I chose the background paper from How Sweet It Is Designer Paper as it reminded me of her sweet and bubbly nature.

The main image comes from the Piece of Cake stamp set and is stamped on a Whisper White punch out of the Starburst Punch, I’m not entirely convinced I got this part of the card just right as the candle don’t look right to me.

I grounded my birthday cake image by using a banner from the Bunch of Banners Framelits and to finish the card I added some of the Clear Faceted Gems which I coloured Lovely Lipstick using a Stampin’ Blends Marker.

Hope you enjoyed today’s project and join me again soon.

Forever Lovely Birthday Card

Today I’m starting a week long show case of the All My Love Suite from the new Spring/Summer catalogue. These products are perfectly suited for all your Valentine’s and romance projects but today I’m showing how you can use them to make a gorgeous birthday card.

For the main focus of the card I stamped three of the gorgeous rose flowers in Lovely Lipstick. What I love about this stamp set is that is it part of our Distinctive range, meaning all that detail on the stamped image came from one impression of one stamp, making it even simpler to get gorgeous detail.

For some additional detail I used the Tufted Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder for the background layer and added a strip of the Lovely Lipstick Stitched Edge Ribbon for some added texture.

I love how this card came out and can’t wait to show you more lovely products with this gorgeous suite. So I hope you can join me again tomorrow.

Floral Friday: Floral Background Card with Touches of Texture

For today’s project I pulled out one of my old favourites Touches of Textures to create a stamped background. I chose a colour combination of Fresh Fig for the flowers and Old Olive for some added texture. For the first layer of the flowers I stamped off the Fresh Fig ink on scrap paper before stamping on my project.

The outline stamp hasn’t lined up completely on any of the images, I’m not actually sure if its meant to or not because I really love the effect that this has created as I think it adds more texture and definition to the flowers.

I added a length of the gorgeous Fresh Fig Mini Ruffled Ribbon to give some more texture to the card. I finished the card off with a greeting from Picture Perfect Birthday mounted onto the frame dies from the Stitched Seasons dies.

Thanks for stopping by today
