Dino Birthday Card

Just a quick post today as I’m snowed under with Christmas wrapping. This is another birthday card made with the Dinoroar suite which has been one of my favourites for childrens cards.  These dinosaurs were cut straight from the Dinoroar DSP  with the Dino Dies, which makes putting a card together super quick.

I’ve added a little shimmer to this card with the Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversable Ribbon  and the greeting comes from the Perennial Birthday stamp set.

I think this card would be suitable for boys or girls because of the mix of colours and anyway who doesn’t love a cute dinosaur!

Happy Birthday Dad Card

Yesterday it was my dad’s birthday so I thought I’d share the card I made him with you. He’s a farmer so very rarely has time to rest so is unlikely to have spent his birthday like this. This image from A Good Man does remind me of how he used to look on beach holidays from when I was younger so hopefully he’ll remember this and enjoy his card too.

I coloured the image in Stampin’ Blends which are definitley one of my favourite Stampin’ Up! products as they make colouring a joy. The top line of the greeting comes from the same A Good Man set and the Happy Birthday comes from Perennial Birthday stamp set.

I finished the card off with three strips of the Blueberry Bushell Ribbon which I think highlights the stripes in the Come Sail Away Designer Paper. I also added some Blueberry Bushell Rhinnestones from the Noble Peacock collection.

Dino Diecuts Card

The one thing I’ve always loved about Stampin’ Up! is the coordination between products. Most of the time this has been matching colours between cardstock and ink. Since the introduction of pruduct suite where we’ve had stamps, die sets ans even dsp that coordinated the project possibilities are endless and its actually hard to make a bad card.

Some of my favourite coordinating products from this years annual catalogue are products from the Dino Days suite, I love how the die set matches the stamps and even one of patterns on the dsp produces detailed die cut dinosaurs in seconds.

This means when you’ve realised your out of birthday cards for the kids party starting in an hour you dont need to rush to the shops. Just pull out a die cutting machine, the Dino dies and the Dinoroar paper and you can make this card in less than ten minutes. Meaning you’ll have one happy birthday boy and won’t be late to the party.

Leave A Little Silver Sparkle Card

For today’s project I’ve pulled out the Leave A Little Sparkle stamp set to make a birthday card for a special little girl who loves unicorns and all things sparkly. For the background of this card I stamped the small star trio stamp in the new Silvery Shimmer Delicata Ink which gives the whole card a subtle shimmer which the photograpgh really doesn’t do justice to.

I coloured the main focal image with Stampin’ Blends in Lovely Lipstick, Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry and added some Wink of Stella to the unicorn horn for a bit more sparkle.

Leave A Little Sparkle Card one

A little silver foil adds a final bit of sparkle to this gorgeous girly card. I can see variations of this card made throughout the coming school year for all those upcoming little girl birthdays.
