Pootler’s Team New Catalogue Blog Hop

Today the Pootler’s Team are hopping with projects from the new Janaury to June Mini Catalogue. This is a great catalogue and I love that there are so many new floral sets which are my favourite! So it was really hard to pick a favourite to share with you today but I’ve chosen the Daffodil Daydream set which features two gorgous floral images and some lovely decorative elements along with two senitments.

So here’s what I’m sharing today:

I’ve stamped the main Daffodil image and then die cut with the matching Daffodil Dies. I then coloured with a mix of Daffoidil Delight, Pale Papaya, Old Olive.

Here’s a closer look at the Balmy Blue version:

The background paper comes from the Simply Marbelous 6″ x 6″ Designer Paper which is a free product available during Sale-A-Bration.

The Flirty Flamingo version also uses the same paper:

I’ve used a Basic White matt cut from the Hippo and Friends Dies to mount my daffodils on and I’ve finished the card off with some Brushed Brass Butterflies which are gorgeous.

Last Chance List is here and a clearance rack update.

Today sees the launch of the Last Chance List for the July- December Mini Catalogue with many products at discounted prices. I can’t believe its December and we’ve only a month of this catalogue left which makes me sad as I’ve not done nearly enough Christmas crafting this year.

Three Card Thursday: Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite

Today I’m sharing three simple cards made with products from the Gingerbread and Peppermint Suite. I love the look of this suite as making gingerbread cookies and houses is one of my favourite holidaytraditions. However I did struggle to create with it, so these are three very simple cards that can by made in minutes and could easily be batch produced if your behind on your cards.

The main focal elements of this card are the peppermints, these are created with the Gingerbread dies. Use mulitpurpose adhesive sheets and the two seperate elements can be adhered together easily.

A little Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon and some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels finish off the card.

For this second card I simple fussy cut theee of the Christmas Tree cookies from the designer paperand adhered them to the Stitched Rectangle. They are hard to see but I’ve added Gold Foil stars to the top of each tree using the Starlit Punch.

This final card is my favourite, probably because I hats, scarves and mittens in the wintertime. These mitten were again fussy cut from the designer paper, I then added some of the Real Red Stitched Grosgrain from the Playful Pets Ribbon Combo Pack.

The little snowflakes stamped on the Stitched Rectangle come from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set and are perfect for adding a little extra detail.

So thats my three cards with the Gingerbread and Peppermint Suite, hopefully I’ll have chance to pull them out agin soon and have a more creative play.
