A Holiday Hello From #Elfie

I’ve pulled out my Stampin’ Blends for today’s card and coloured the largest image from the #Elfie stamp set. This is one of those images which can fill a whole card front so you really don’t need much else.

I’ve used a little bit of the Wrapped In Plaid DSP as a background which I also used as a basis for my main colour scheme of Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce and Night of Navy.

I’m spending the afternoon curled up by my fire watching Christmas movies and colouring more elves. Hope you have chance to have some crafty time this weekend.

Christmas Stocking Card

This is another one of those cards that is  quick and simple to put together, so perfect for mass production if you’re running out of time to make your cards.

I’ve used one of the sheets from the Night Before Christmas as a background and also as a basis for my colour scheme. I chose to use Cherry Cobbler, Pretty Peacock and So Saffron with a hint of Mossy Meadow.

A strip of the Pretty Peacock/Old Olive Reversable Ribbon adds a little shimmer to the card and the “Merry Christmas” greeting stamped in Mossy Meadow from the Snowman Season stamp set finishes off the card.

Christmas Baubles Card

Today I’ve been playing with the Christmas Gleaming bundle making loads of baubles, which is super easy with the punch duo and the gorgoeus Brightly Gleaming Speciality DSP.  I love this paper and it seems everyone esle does to as Stampin’ Up! can’t seem to keep the warehouses stocked with it.

I’ve paired my gorgeous background paper with a matt layer in Pretty Peacock, I was tempted to use Copper Foil but thought that might ne a copper overload with the Celestial Copper ink and Brightly Gleaming Foil elements which also appear on the card.

Along with the baubles, one punched and one stamped, I’ve stamped the holly spring. I stamped this in Celestial Copper Delicata Ink and the coloured with Stampin’ Blends. The colours have gone a little muddy so I think next time I’ll use Versamark and Copper Embossing Powder if I want to colour an image.

A simple Merry Christmas stamped in Pretty Peacock and the card is done.

Floral Friday: Christmas Rose Wedding Card

Today I’ve used the Christmas Rose stamp set to create a wedding card. I’ve gone far away from the colours in the Christmastime Is Here Suite and focused on colours from my own wedding.  I used Blackberry Bliss and Gold for my own wedding stationary, here I’ve added in Mint Macaron as a green for the foiliage.

I stamped the Chrsitmas Rose in Versamark and embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I coloured the roses with both Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends and the leaves in a mix of Light Shaded Spruce and Dark Mint Macaron which gave them a two-tone effect which I really like.  I used a few drops of Golden Glitz Delicata Reinker and a Blender pens to colour in the berries on the image.

I added some interest to the Mint Macaron background layer by stamping the inner berry stamp in a random pattern all over with Versmark ink. I then added a strip of the Gold Shimmer Ribbon across the middle before adhering onto the Gold Foil layer.

I stamped the greeting from Beautiful Bouquet onto the large frame from the Roses die set and added this to the card. I then added my rose diecut over the top. I finished the card off with some of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots which I am loving and seem to be putting on every thing I make.

I’m loving all the products in the Christmastime Is Here Suite and actually how versatile they are as I don’t think this card looks Chrismassy at all do you?

Santa’s Workshop Elf Card

For this card I was inspired by the little elf and his santas workshop sign so decided to make a card which looked like the outside of the workshop. So I’ve used the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder with Crumb Cake cardstock to create my background and matted thisn on a layer of Real Red.

I coloured the little elf and the parcel with Stampin’ Blends and then fussy cut him out. I used a mix of  Real Red, Call Me Clover and Bermuda Bay for the colouring.

I stamped the greeting from the same #Elfie stamp set onto a square cut from the Layering Squares Dies and then mounted this onto a scalloped Real Red sqaure from the same set.

To finish the card I added three Real Red Glitter Enamel Dots from the Toile Tidings pack.

Think its time this cheeky little elf got back to work now, don’t you.
