St. Patrick’s Day Card Duo

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, hope you all have a lucky day! I’m passing on the good luck by sharing this card duo I made with the Amazing Life stamp set and the brand new Sale-A-Bration Co-ordination Storybook Punch….gosh thats a mouthful!

Celebrating all things Irish i’m using a mix of Call Me Clover and Granny Apple Green for colouring the shamrocks from the Amazing Life stamp set. I used the Stampin’ Blends for the colouring which did take me a whole evening but it was a very relaxing one.

St Patricks Day card 1

For this first card I covered my whole background in the stamped and coloured shamrocks. I used the Good Luck greeting from Amazing Life and stamped it in Call Me Clover. I punched the greeting out with the Storybook punch and then punched out an additional shape in Call Me Clover cardstock, cut in half this makes the perfect border to lift the greeting punch. To finish this card I added three of the enamel dots from the Happiness Blooms collection.

St Patrick's Day card 2

For the second card I added a strip of the Call Me Clover polka dot paper from the 2018 – 2020 In-Colour DSP stack to the bottom of the card and seperated this from my stamping with a strip of Granny Apple Green cardstock.

Hope you’ve enjoyed todays projects and join me again tomorrow for some more Stampin’ Up! inspiration.

“Peter Rabbit” Inspired card with Fable Friends

Growing up Beatrix Potter’s Tales of Peter Rabbit was one of my favourite books and every time I look at the Fable Friends stamp set happy memories come flooding back to me, if your a Beatrix Potter fan, I’d definitely add Fable Friends to your stampsollection.

I also love how Balmy Blue is the perfect match for Peter’s little jacket in the stories., so using the Gingham Gala DSP was the perfect choice for a background. Using the Stampin’ Blends that gorgeous little rabbit has come to life on my paper, how cute does he look?

To embellish the card a little I stamped and die-cut three flowers from the Needle and Thread Bundle which I think works well with the images in Fable Friends.

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s quite monochromatic card and join me agin soon.

Happy Spring Squirrel with Fable Friends

I don’t know about you but I’m longing for Spring to arrive and for us to have more than a peep of sunshine. So today I’m sharing with you a card which I think just oozes spring with the fresh bright colour combination of Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lime Twist. I’ve paired this combination with the Fable Friends stamp set, mainly because it has the sentiment Happy Spring and thats what I’m wanting.

How cute is this little guy with his sunflower, he was a joy to colour with the Stampin’ Blends. I love how his tail turned out with a mix of flecks in Crumb Cake and Cajun and Craze and isn’t Balmy Blue a perfect match for that famous Beatrix Potter blue.

To finish the card I added a strip of an old favourite the Double Stitched Daffodil Delight Ribbon which has a different stitched effect on each side of the ribbon, today I’ve gone with the cross but the dashes are just as lovely.

Floral Friday – Climbing Roses

As its Friday I thought I’d share one of my Floral Friday projects with you this week and today’s card was made using the Climbing Roses Bundle. Roses are one of my favourite flowers so I’ve loved having this lovely big image to sit and colour.

After adding the greeting’s panel it looked a little lost so I added a few of the smaller roses to help it blend in with my rose background more.

I really love how this card turned out and it was nice to break away from my normal card size and make a 5″ square tent fold card for a change.

Poppy Parade Santa Christmas Card

For today’s card I’ve gone for a mainly monochromatic colour scheme using Poppy Parade, I love this colour its such a happy vibrant red and works so well as the colour for Santa’s suit.

The background was created using the Buffalo Check stamp and the greeting came from the Peaceful Poinsettia set. The big curvy sentiments were the reason I bought this set and I can’t wait to use it some more.

The cute little Santa comes from the Signs of Santa set and has been coloured with Stampin’ Blends, the Dark Mango Melody on his belt really stands out among all the Poppy Parade.

To add some extra interest I stamped a banner from Banners For You in tone on tone Poppy Parade and added this die cut behind my sentiment. I finished the card off with one of the Snowflake Trinkets which are available as part of the November Snowflake Showcase.

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it.
